The LG G2 Deal is back on Ebay.
http://geb.ebay.in/g/ImportHubViewItem?itemid=1...
((Select the Colour to see the price of 16,868. If you don’t select the colour, the price displayed is Rs. 22,302))
This time the deal seems to be even better as the coupon code DESIDIME03 is working which mean the effective price of the phone will be Rs. 14,675 (16,868-13% = 14,675)
http://www.desidime.com/premium_deals/exclusive...
Making this deal even sweeter is the fact this listing is for the T-Mobile D801 version which if I am right allows you to toggle the Network Mode settings without rooting the phone. In many ways, the T-Mobile branded phones are better than the ATT version
Not sure if the PayTm wallet offer is still active, but if it’s working then extra 500 off
Phone doesn’t come with any warranty as usual
PS –
1) Price seems to be fluctuating a little, so the final price in your cart may be different from what is mentioned here
2) To those who are ordering for the first time – You don’t need to pay anything extra for customs, shipping etc. The final price is inclusive of all that
3) You can pay via PayTm wallet, but not sure if the wallet deal is still active
4) Price is now updated to 16868 before coupons and cashback
5) Select the Colour to see the price of 16868. If you don’t select the colour, it price displayed is Rs. 22,302

Is This Good Deal ?

http://geb.ebay.in/g/ImportHubViewItem?itemid=1...
Want To Buy it as Backup Phone
And What Does Manufacturer refurbished Means ?
Any Help Would Be Highly Appreciated
None of those are listed as UNLOCKED phones. So I don’t think they will work on any networks in India
So We Have To Unlock Right ? How Much Does it Cost Usually ?
What About This one
http://geb.ebay.in/g/ImportHubViewItem?itemid=1...
It Says Unlocked So Will It Work With Indian Network ?
Unlocking costs vary by operator and models. Don’t get into the business of buying locked phones to get them unlocked later. Better buy Unlocked ones itself
The LG G Flex is unlocked and will work with any GSM operator in India
Is This Original ? I Guess Original MRP Was Around 50K Isnt It ? Ebay.in Has Listing It For 22-28 K Seems Little Fishy
It’s original. The low price is to clear the stock. The phone is not worth even 18-19k. Don’t buy it
Strange suggestion ! As you already ordered it right ?
A colleague of mine (who sits right next to me) is using that phone from the past 6 months. It’s seriously not worth it. Most people will not like the phone once they see it in real. The self healing back cover and curved screen are nothing more than useless gimmicks. The LG G Flex 2 (announced recently) is a successor to this phone and so price of the original model might drop even further.
At the end of the day, it’s my personal opinion based on little experience with the phone. You may like the phone and I don’t deny that possibility

I don’t know/care about Dimes/Karma etc. I even don’t know how many things work on Desidime. Only just five days back I learnt what is Karma and how to give it. I come to DD ONLY to get some good deals:-D It doesn’t matter to me whether my deals are voted up or down or not selected for FPD In fact, I am surprised to see how competitive Dimers are when it comes to posting deals and making it to FPD. I never understood what motivates them so much.
So, whether right or wrong, you can trust me even when I am the OP. I am be wrong on facts/information, but will never mislead on something which I already know

Even if One Plus One comes with a Core I7 Processor and 8 GB RAM, I will not buy it because I absolutely hate phablets or phones with screens larger than 5 inches.
In fact, the reason I like LG G2 (same with G3) is primarily because of the fact they have succeeded in putting a much larger display (5.2 inches) in a phone with the same size as Mi 4, Iphone 6, and Galaxy S4.
For a lot of people, one handed use is extremely important. I am one of them. I can assure you there are millions of people who will echo my view about larger phones

How much cheaper will it be? Won’t it eventually come down to more or less the same price? May be very little difference but a whole lot more painful
Nope. At least 1K less. The same reseller who is selling it in ebay.in will do the needful.

In my opinion, T mobile G2 is superior to At&t G2.
I am buying one

really ?o.O
It cost approx. same price or more compared with final price of DESIDIME03 coupon
Don’t go for the LG G2. The device has poor user interface and it’s not likely to get the LG G3 UI althought LG promised it.
Buying T-Mobile version will run on 3G 2100 MHz frequency in India. But will not work with Indian 4G networks. From what i know, 4G operating costs are cheaper than 3G. 4G may get cheaper but 3G is not going to cheaper for sure. Do you want your 14k device to run on expensive 3G network? That too poor 3G connection of India?
Just buy a 4G device, you’ll be able to use on Reliance Jio 4G. This device is not worth buying. Don’t get carried away by the hardware.
The Snapdragon 800 has been succeeded by 801, 805, 810 while the 820 is on its way this year. The same story with Adreno graphics.

How so? Just curious. 200 USD to INR conversion itself is close to 12500. Won’t the customs and shipping cost at least 1500-2000? I have never done and so I don’t know
Without the DESIDIME03 coupon, I agree it might be wise to follow your shipping idea, but with DESIDIME03 coupon, I wonder how much you can really save by following your idea. Any less than 1k is not the worth the pain in MY personal opinion
Brothers do not get into this mess and loose your hard earned money. If it is around 2-3k one can give a try. Its >15K. Manufacturer refurbished phones have no warranty in US itself not to talk of outside US. Refurbished means faulty but repaired by Manufacturer so its supposed to be as good as new at discount. If its US one can buy warranty for few dollars not here. Not worth the headache with customs too if bought directly from US, IMO. Simply NO.
India has 4G LTE in 1800/2300 bands depends on circle. Go through Reliance Jio info. So some states will have 4G on 1800MHz atleast from Jio.

Bhai – You are speaking about 4G when even 3G coverage is a joke in India. A well developed HSPA+ network can give you upto 42 MBPS download speeds. The hard reality is that you practically don’t need anything more than consistent 10 MBPS speeds in your phone even for the most demanding apps and multilayer games. What will you do with 100+ MBPS LTE speeds on your phones? For a good connected experience on smartphones what you need is not MORE speed but CONSISTENT speed. A consistent 7.2 MBPS network is any day better than an inconsistent 100+ MBPS network
And irrespective of what you think, 3G will be either priced low or on par with 4G in India. It makes absolutely no business sense otherwise. Just 2 years back BSNL was offering truly unlimited 3G for INR 700 per month which was ridiculously cheap. Very soon the prices will be back to that level again
Also any phone with S800 chipset is enough for a pleasing Android experience. LG G2 is a terrific device. It’s one of those products where a company gets almost everything right. In fact LG G2 is better than LG G3. The 2K display has no real benefit but consumes a hell lot of power in G3. To make it worse, LG G3 is phablet while G2 is a normal phone
It’s interesting to note that both LG and Samsung had better flagship devices in 2013 (S4 and G2) than in 2014 (S5 and G3)
Lastly, LG is bringing the G3 UI to G2. The update is out apparently for Korean model already. Check the new UI in the below video. With 5.0, G2 will be an even better option than ever before

Agreed. 3G Is a Big Joke In India I’ve Been Using Vodafone/Idea/DOCOMO 3G and Best Comes Out Vodafone Which Gives 5-7 Mbps Speed That Too Way Too Expensive For My Taste I Have To Spend 1K For 5 GB Data That Hardly Lasts 8-10 Days and Then I Use Mblaze Ultra 40 GB Plan For Remaining 20 Days That Gives Speed of 2-3 Mbps. Atleast Let us Get Proper 3G Before Thinking About 4G
Guys i bought this phone on 1st feb and got on 14feb in my hand.If you believe me this is best phone in price range.i didnt use mobile data coz i use wifi in office n home too so will not comment on this except this you cant get better phone in that price.the phone is absolutely new with smooth interface.dont compare with micromax xolo etc with dat coz they didnt reach even knee of that.
if you talk about warranty then we all know about mostly all brand’s service centre.give your phone and forget about atleast one month specially micromax samsung too.

Is it manufacturer refurbished? I can see the item condition written as “New”.
if i buy At&T or sprint locked iphone , is it possible to unlock it in india ?
if yes what is the cost for unlocking ????
did anyone order got shipped and was this the refurbished one ?
happil wrote:

As per the listing, it is no where mentioned it is refurbished.
Also, refurbished doesn’t necessarily mean repaired phones. In US and few other countries, many brands offer 15 to 30 days return policies. If you don’t like the phone for wherever reason, you can give it back for refunds or replacements. Manufacturers take these returned products, restock them back to new condition by changing panels, boxes etc and sell them

Unlocking costs varies by models and operators . There is no certainty over unlocking but most often you should be able to.
Many sites online offer unlocking services and quite a few of them are scams too. So, it’s better to go with unlocked phones directly

I prefer T mobile version as it seems to have (Not Sure) the ability to select 2G only mode without rooting or installing Xposed framework
Also, T Mobile version seems to be the exact replica of the International variant whereas ATT version seems to one extra microphone compared to the international version.

Not bad, but MIGHT pose issues if the phone needs to be repaired. So, I personally prefer buying the T Mobile since the hardware is exactly same as the phone available in India. So, it might be little easy while getting the phone repaired
well any update anyone still curious whether should have bought att instead of this
Strange suggestion ! As you already ordered it right ?
