thanks i love VLC on android. I will stick with android since the ease of transfer and expandable storage mean a lot to me.

EDIT: I had a chance to use my uncle’s iPad air 2 32GB for a week and had a shitty experience while trying to watch movies on it from my external HDD. Talk about all the smooth experience with iOS. in my experience iOS very locked down by Apple. don’t think i’m android fan boy, I’m actually typing all this from my retina macbook 13". my work and software requirements are fulfilled only by a mac OS X at the moment. but iOS is pretty locked for me. that’s all these jail breaking occurs in iOS devices.

The only thing I don’t like about Apple is its so expensive. I don’t wanna spend my hard earned money when I can get it for half the cost and still get the job done. If Apple reduces cost, I would consider. But now I am happy with my Android. maybe one day when I earn loads and have nothing to spend on, I will purchase an apple device

Yes I am talking about the UI a lot because that is how you are going to interact with a device rather that interacting directly with the snapdragon processor or the Tegra GPU!

iOS may be a closed platform but packages and tweaks are available for a lot of things you’d want done and I’ve never wanted anything that I couldn’t find. I wouldn’t change apple’s UI for anything in the world. No one wants to change something that is perfect.

Even with K1’s “magical” benchmark numbers, it’ll not match the perfection of A7’s tight integration with iOS.

If you’re calling iOS dumb, then a billion people using dumb iOS all over the world would like to disagree with you(I think there’ll be a few power users in there too )

For those few people who like to play demanding games on their tablet, MiPad will be a good choice but for the rest who like to get their work done with elegance, Ipad Mini will be a better option

This would have been a great device for me. But I already have a Tegra note. I would have thought to upgrade to this but the no sim internet is putting me off.

But if you know someone who is willing to buy my Tegra note for a reasonable price then I do not mind buying this.

Apple is a company based on jobs stealing the concept of GUI from Xerox .He also issued a statement the we have been shameless in stealing everything.IOS 7 has taken most changes from android which they have been having for years also it has the same lumia look and cards interface was blatantly ripped off from webOS.

The best part is that they copied notification tray and still they couldn’t do it right ! Users can virtually do nothing with the control center and notification center ! 1) I couldn’t transfer files through Bluetooth or Wifi Direct
2) I couldn’t just copy movies without converting
3) I couldn’t use any computer to transfer conetnt
4) I couldn’t transfer the content without installing the virus called Itunes
5) I couldn’t use single Google sign in for all Google services
6) File management is absent
7) I couldn’t set default apps
8) Couldn’t share content with third party apps
9) Screen size and the auto correct keyboard were big jokes
10) App store had many great apps, but even the ones available for free on Android were paid apps on IOS
11) I couldn’t afford the higher storage capacity. Buying a 64 GB would have required selling one of my kidney
12)I couldn’t charge the damn thing anywhere. The charging sockets are different from the industry standards
13)Battery backup on iPad was good but the iPhone was a big joke. I spent more time charging, less time using phone
14)The multi tasking on iDevices is a big scam. Back ground apps/services were halted the moment I left the app
15)Two way cloud syncing of files is absent

I can go on and on. The list will be endless (some of these have been addressed in the recent OS updates). Initially, I used the devices a lot, but gradually I started using the devices just for basic functionalities like browsing, calls, messages etc. It is THEN i realized this bloody thing is FAST because I can’t really do anything

I can understand your pain ! I have gone through the transition and never in my life would go back to anything as useless as iOS .
Its simply counter intuitive ! They simply want all users to do stuff in ways they want to and not the way users want to !

according to people, ios has better implementation of os so that it runs smoothly even at low power hardware.

they are dumb, ios is aways released on just enough hardware so that idevices speed always decrease with ios upgrades. (no exception).

and android has poor implementation so that strong hardware is needed to run os smoothly, but speed always improve after android update (no exception again )
