Few Clarifications :-
1) Redmi 1S comes with removable battery (though i am not a fan of phones that come with their back cover which can be opened . However since it is dual SIM the design becomes a constraint and you have to make your back panel removable . Also since this has Micro SD slot (which is huge huge plus , and makes it better than Moto G / G2 for this very reason ! )
2) The finish from the back is matte , on the sides it has glossy finish. To be fair it does not have looks of MI 3 but it feels less chunky then Moto G , E (Whose designs were shredded apart in almost every tech review !).
3) Two SIM slots :- 1 WCDMA (Please look up wikipedia if you are not sure what WCDMA is !! ) and a GSM slot. This was my first usage of a Dual SIM Phone (Never owned a dual SIM phone before as it is not essential for me ! ) Dual SIM’s work well in tandem. (Both use GSM ! No CDMA ! ) (both regular SIM slots !)
4) The touch screen is highly pleasing. Like MI 3 colors are not washed out. Touch scores full marks for a device at this price .
5) No NFC ! Wi-Fi direct is present and works smoothly. Bluetooth v4.0 . Battery easily lasts for a day with moderate usage.
On a Whole its difficult to expect anything else at this price. Also if you can spend 2k more go for a Redmi Note (Provided you can wait ! ) (Will launch in november ! ) During November during Diwali season you can expect Card Specific cashbacks (~10% ) which would bring the Redmi Note Price to ~9k. At 9K Redmi note has vastly superior specs ! But if your budget does not allow you to spend more and you cannot wait then go for it !! Redmi 1S already kills Moto G2 even before it gets released. Zenphone 5 will get crushed by Redmi Note. The Choice is yours !
