I have used Moto E for a few months and I can tell you it was smooth. To cite an example, Chrome browser, which is quite heavy, ran butter smooth on the Moto E which I did not expect as it is slow as hell on my Nexus 7 1012. Camera is shit. Moto E lags when you play heavy games. Even in games like Subway Surfer the frame breaks after 1700-1800 coins. But still at 7K or less , it was VFM.

I can attest to the fact that the camera is great. I was at the launch event in Bangalore and personally I felt that the camera was almost as good as my S3, which is among the best in the 8 MP class. Cannot comment on call quality or battery as did not get a chance to test these. But as per reports, the battery is decent but not as good as Moto E/G.

It will get KitKat for sure as they are working on a Kitkat and MIUI v6 build..it will probably take a little longer. I did ask about Android L and Hugo Barra said that we would get it, but the first priority is KitKat. However I am still skeptical and even if we get L, it wont be this year.

I’ve used many phones and I switched from 4.3 to 4.4.4 in a few. I didn’t find very big major change in performance/battery. I did benchmarks too and gave almost same results. Difference will be very minor. Normal users will not feel the change! Extreme multi tasking/gaming/video recording only the difference can be felt
