@getready whats the total estimate of the moto e phone after everything…?
Consider phone price + take to be around 700
Shipping to India costs around 500-600
Lets say customs charged as per Moto E current price in India i.e 5k
So it will 500
Totally
700+600=500 = 1900
Min will be 1500

No 3G is still manageable. but does this Verizon Moto E will work with all GSM carriers in India like Airtel, Vodafone, Idea? or will we be required to unlock it or do some modifications to make it usable? kindly reply…

moto e still available..? link pls ..
and i want to purchase nexus but i think, its oos…
Will it work in india? I use vodafone, will 3 g work?
How to buy, how much to pay to get this in india?
It has 900mhz band bro for 3G
but missing 2100mhz band which is common 3G band for all carriers
In some circles like mumbai Airtel/Vodafone uses 900mhz band [ i am not sure about the exact band]
I tried in bangalore, chennai and hyderabad for Airtel. Got only 2G
You cant get 3G
i used the same device bought from BestBuy for 2 months
It was on 5.0.2 back then, so without any fastboot/adb stuff gsm sims worked
Apart from hotspot worked fine with reliance cdma
Battery backup was great like 6 hours SOT
but now you need to tweak a little bit as out of the box it will be on 5.1
which payment method you used?

Those you are planning to make group orders on best buy please beware that they are cancelling orders if you purchase more than 2. I bought a lumia 640 and when I tried to order moto e 2 it failed to accept my card. Had to use paypal to make the purchase and both were shipped. Now when I tried to place lumia 640 order again the system cancelled the order.
PS: Placed orders for someone in US and not shipping to India.

I just registered with PPOBox.. never used them..
Uploaded doc for KYC.. how much time they normally take to activate the account?
I think we can buy only after KYC this is completed?
If you have filled the KYC via the form then it will take half an hour only. IF you have emailed them then it will take 2-3 days.

Yes it is the payment/address they are targeting for online purchases. I was told that they are available in bulk at stores and you can buy without any limitations.

You will be paying like 7000 or 8000 for shipping+customs
is that fine with you?
If someone is still planning to buy lumia 640 through freight forwarders it is available for $40 on microsoft store
My suggestions over these kind of deals (flagships from outside india)
1. They are not under warranty and what’s worse, they are not serviceable incase any issue arises. Even if something can be repaired, it’ll cost huge just because its a flagship. You’ll end up paying hefty amounts for every small part that’s repaired.
2. Incompatibility issues: 3G/4G bands not compatible in India or any other such issues.
3. Buggy apps and Non-indian bloatware. Though this is not a major issue but have to get that suitable custom ROM which can eliminate this.
4. The price you pay for that use and throw mobile is too big. There is no resale value for these outsourced mobiles.
5. The time and energy you’ve to spend to make these mobiles usable here is too much. Rather invest all that time and energy in some productive thing.
6. At even less price, you get the best hardware + after sales service in many brands here itself. So, why go for these premium bricks?
For me the point 5 is the single biggest thing to opt out of these deals

For the first point u should remember that brand warranty is not available. They should be absolutely serviceable in India exceptions being service centres giving unnecessary trouble by denying the servicing. Also third party repair is always available
4g band of Airtel won’t be available but reliance 1800 band might still be.Depending upon model it’s specific. Also there is a method to unlock all basebands of all qualcomm based phones if anyone is really interested in.
Custom rom support root etc etc
Who said one would by a flagship for resale for atleast 2 years
Atleast nexus 6 will work out of the box. U don’t need to modify anything to work on Indian networks
U compare a Nexus 6 to a one plus or xiaomi. Lol
Link to unlock at&t lumia 640 phones in case someone forgets and choose Non-AT&T Mobility customer. You should get the unlock code in 2-3 days.
Does anyone have an extra? I really need one… not just for the sake of grabbing the deal. If anyone has ordered an extra Lumia 640 then please tell me…
I used ppobox
cheapest way is to get it through a friend
