Good to see this comment. “New thread for New offer”.
Hope This will too get applied for declaring some thread as repost.
Again need some clarification on this, otherwise misuse of same going to happen.
Many times, people post other deal/similiar info as a post.
Do that comments/post will consider as evidence of repost or new thread created with that info will be valid deal.

In the past, the original poster of a deal also got shared FPD credit regardless of whether someone else created a thread for it. Would @aakashasaj get shared FPD credit as per the norm?

aakashasaj has not shared complete details…just image is not enough.
@Nigel Got it sir
Yes complete details should be shared and the other member just showed the image of the offer it not enough for the criteria for FPD…..

U are not making a point here.
He decided to post a new deal in some random thread.. How should I know about that?
Now someone else creates a new thread with complete info, so I should go to OP and ask him to post complete details so we can promote his post?

CC @deepak.k @GoogleCA @billa ajith
aakashasaj has not shared complete details…just image is not enough.
For such situations, where someone posts a new deal/offer in an existing thread, the full details are rarely shared, if ever. But the original person to share the deal first did get shared FPD credit in all the previous cases that I am aware of. Had aakashasaj simply posted an image, I would have agreed with your comment. But he did mention the fundamental details about the deal textually as well.
I am only engaging in this conversation because you seem to be setting a wrong precedence here by (1) discouraging discoverers from immediately sharing their findings and (2) encouraging reposters to exploit this loophole to get full credit.
By the way, the reposting situation was so bad 9-10 months ago that I once had to add a warning to discourage reposters. See: http://www.desidime.com/forums/hot-deals-online...
So Guys what i understand from this suggestion is :
If you post one line with a image and that too without offer/site link, It should be FPD

We are not talking about someone creating a thread to get FPD credit, but about someone who shared a deal with the genuine interest of helping the dimers. We should encourage such people by rewarding them with shared FPD credit as we always have.
Nobody had the presence of mind in that thread (including the admins and mods) to ask aakashasaj to post the deal in a new thread, but I and many others have done so for other cases.
@DealSeeker I wonder why akash didn’t make an exclusive thread for this offer. It’s such a hot deal, after all. Moreover, the OP has posted it after 11 days. I don’t think he is trying to capitalize on a loophole. I think Nigel is right, atleast in this case.
1.aakashasaj did not share the deal with community. He only commented/answered plz.
2.He posted in unrelated thread.
3.He posted after +12 hours after creation of that deal. So,not many people saw that.
4.If it takes 11 days for same deal to get attention,OP is not reposter.

Thread created with Title Good day cookies worth 10 at eff price ZERO
Akashraj posted Paytm Coffee offer !
1. Its impossible to check every comment on a thread, Do you agree ?
2. If Admins/Mods could not notice but You Dimer of the year noticed it, why you did not ask him to make a new thread with proper details, so that it could help every Dimer ??
“Considering you have presence of mind and Admins/Mods don’t have”.

My point is not about OP of this thread being a reposter. If I thought that, I wouldn’t have asked for shared FPD credit for aakashasaj.
And, no, @Nigel is not correct for denying shared credit to aakashasaj. If you think he is correct now, then are you suddenly okay with all the tens of times when shared FPD credit was given for similar situations?

1. Yes.
2. Don’t get off the track. I would have obviously asked him to create a new thread if I saw his post then. I only came to know about this situation when @deepak.k tagged me on this thread.
3. Let the admins respond to this policy related matter.
Now off the track, Oh yeah !

Please help me with links where such situations had resulted in shared FPD credit in the past.

Too big of an ask, bro. I can’t recall specific keywords to search for. Once it happened with a post from @Krish Avatar, another time for @cybertechie I think, then there were a few cases of Deal Cadets.
