I called them to check and they said there will be activation charges as below

Rs. 300 per card amounting upto Rs 2,000
Rs. 500 per card for amount above Rs. 2,000

And we can’t get discount and cashback on these website. Where CC/DC only allowed for discount and cashback.

VCC will definitely not work. GC is as good as CC/DC as right now these sites are not actively blocking GCs. So you should be able to use GC on these sites to get CB but I would suggest trying it out once.

There is an algorithm, don’t remember the name, which identifies and validates CC/DC and I guess that same or some similar algo identifies a VCC as well.

AFAiK, GCs should work on these sites for discounts and CB until every dimer starts using GC on100s of accts , in which case they will also be blocked, if there is an algo or something else which identifies GCs as well.

I was able to use to use AMEX GCs on Mobi for a short while when they worked on that site and got CB.

Its just that mostly VISA VCC starts with “40”, they are looking just these digits.
So will be the case with Mastercard, though don’t remember the MasterCard VCC series.
Somebody with HDFC Mastercard Debit can reply to this, what series does their Netsafe Card starts with.!
