I still think there might be something in store for LYF users.
Since last 10 days, JIO sim card not activated.
No one care about, they just offer free SIM and NOTHING.
Whenever I visit Digital Express store to ask about activation they keep providing following excuses.
1) Server is down
2) 10000 Applications arrived all are pending
3) Tomorrow will activate… and so on

Their customer care is pathetic, they say it is a temporary issue and will get solved after 15 september. I informed them that my relative is able to to receive calls who stays in the same building, so why am I facing this issue. They were clueless, and had no answers.
I am also facing the same issue. My understanding is that the full fledged services are not launched and thus they have low number of Interconnections with other Telcos. That prevents incoming call to the numbers
+1 Airtel Vodafone Idea (AVOID cartel) are deliberately trying to sabotage by giving inadequate interconnect ports so people are fooling into thinking JIO network is crap…try calling any BSNL, MTNL or landline number it goes thru instantly
See the fact is reliance has almost launched full fledged services. It is another matter tht they are not charging for these services and terming it has network testing. Other telcos also have a point. Frankly in the garb of testing Reliance is basically trying to make users avail services for free and thus migrate to its network. It also avoids paying interconnect charges to other telcos which can be anything like 5-15 paisa per minute for calls. So other telcos are rightly feeling cheated
They always use these kind of business strategies …time will tell the solution !

Yes it has laready become a big issue with both TRAI and DoT becoming involved. IMHO, what Reliance is doing is wrong and defeats the intention of allowing free testing of the network. Not to say that other telcos are “dudh ke dhule”

in the longer run, looks like Jio is going to be the ideal network for calling, as they are not charging anything for calls and only for data. Also incoming , outgoing and roaming is free and there are no blackout days.

Don’t expect a quick response, i have been complaining for 2 months, still network issue is not solved at my house. Also their twitter id is flooded with requests. Even on the website you can raise a support request and they will take 24 to 48 hours just to acknowledge the same. Simple as of now they are flooded with calls and complaints, due to so many new users having issued getting their sims activated and running.
