I was wondering how Snapdragon 650 stacks up against the old Snapdragon 800/801 in terms of raw performance?
It’s better & more efficient overall, with the newer 64bit A72 core & Adreno 5xx GPU, see here for instance → http://www.gsmarena.com/one_plus_x-review-1337....The Antutu score is higher due to all these factors, also the top single core Geekbench score is over 1600, the GPU is also way better but not sure by how much
SD 650 is even better than SD 808 so we dont even have to compare it with 800/801 interms of performance
but 800/801 are very stable performers with minimal heating issues and SD 650 is fairly new one
Has Amazon released the time of flash sale? Is it 2PM as it was in the past?

These newer cores, A53 onwards, are more efficient plus we see better cooling these days, even inside a smartphone. The clocks, passive (or active ) cooling setup & the chassis (metal in this case) would determine how much this baby heats up, but I haven’t seen any reports of the a9 (2016 model) overheating so there shouldn’t be much throttling here either.

Anyway here are some of the benchmarks for Adreno 510, inside the Note3
https://gfxbench.com/compare.jsp?benchmark=gfx4...
probably these passes were given to all those who attended the launch event today

I tested the phone today, it looks way better than in the pictures and feels premium. Benchmarks says half the things, let the real reviews come and you know we Indians test the phone like anything, you will get the real picture soon. IMO it’s VFM considering the price.
I wanna buy this phone
32 gb version
give me Fcode for 32gb for free if neone have
and pls do not beg for money

Well, if you opened the benches you’d see that it’s virtually tied vs the Galaxy Note 5 (onscreen tests) & better than the Huawei Mate 8 in certain onscreen tests, not to mention the fact that the Battery lifetime is 1.5x times the next best

Yes, I am more curious about Redmi 3 (The successor of Redmi 2). It was launched in China, but still now there was no word on India launch.

It was even par at some benchmarks with 6p but that doesn’t mean it’s better than 6p. The phone is a beast, no confusion about that. I’m bit worried about the heat up and real life performance considering it’s on MIUI which is known to be buggy. Even if you get an awesome hardware, it should get a good software to get the best performance. Any big edge in hardware performance cannot make up for the lack of ongoing software support. That’s the sole reason I said ^^^
Review is out:
http://www.digit.in/mobile-phones/xiaomi-redmi-...
It doesn’t have gorilla glass protection and low light performance is poor and comes with Lollipop instead of Marshmallow.

Unfortunately even Samsung isn’t immune to criticism, their bloatware was rightfully blasted in the past, so far as software is concerned. The only remedy is to get a custom ROM &/or governor for better utilization of the SoC, this is true for every OEM out there.
So far as overheating is concerned, I previously mentioned that the latest Galaxy A9 is being positively received & it has 4 A72 cores therefore the Note 3, with 2 A72 cores, should not have much of a problem in this regard.

Same here. Looking forward for Redmi 3, hoping it comes sooner than later.
Superb specs but I will wait till 3rd flash sale to get the REAL review of this beast
