phone box sealed in plastic (laminated), MI seal on box was also perfect.
This proves that they just want to cheat.Now they are saying they will pick up on monday,once it reaches bangalore (that is 3-4 days) , only then they will send replacement.
That’s really bad to here that after waiting so long, they are sending such piece. When customers are paying why don’t they send new piece.

I think grey looks decent than gold.
Just received my phone. Made an unboxing video, and checked the charger and exterior carefully. Looks like a fresh piece.

Seems like im the only unlucky one.
prateek, my redmi had plastic screenguard sort of thing on front and back. The fingerprints you are talking about were on the screenguard or the display screen after you remove the screenguard?

No mate. You arent the only one. Something strange happened with me as well. Ordered the 2GBversion from Amazon on 30th March and recieved it after 5 days. The phone was properly sealed and had the platic seal as well on the box. At first, when i took out the phone it looked new as it should have but had a small scratch on the right bezel. I ignored it and kept using the phone for 4 ddays as i didnt have a proper 4G sim with me and was not getting time for transferring stuff and data from my old phn. Finally on the following weekend when i got time and when i opened the sim yray to put my sim card inside, i found something which shocked me. The phone already had two used sim cards. One was of airtel and another was of China Mobile. Though the simcards were deactivated but still no one in their wildest of dreams can expect them to be there, especially in case of a brand new phone. I contacted amazon which promptly asked me to opt for a replacement which i did and mailed Xiaomi and Amazon regarding this. After the mail i got a call from Amazon and after i gave a good piece of my mind, i was offered full refund which i took. This ordeal lasted 15 days and Xiaomi after several mails to the didnt even care to acknowledge, let alone apologise. The charm and excitement for a new purchase had already faded off. i returned the second phone as well after i was given an option for refund. Yet to get a response from Xiaomi. Xiaomi and such chinese companies who are practicing such cheap tacting such as flash sales are mocking and fooling Indian people. We are paying for a phone and then as well they making us beg them. I learnt it a hard way. Prior to what happened, i was also trying for a 32 gb version. Now It is probable that i may never get a Xiaomi phone again.

I paid for a new phone after weeks of patience in their flash sales. Although i never liked the sale model but had no complaintsd with them earlier, but after this used sim fiasco happened, i just returned the favor to Xiaomi and opted for refund. Peace of mind.

Amazon asks no question on replacement and gives you a brand new unit, if you really wanted to buy this mobile then you would have requested them a replacement instead of a refund

Amazon asks no question on replacement and gives you a brand new unit, if you really wanted to buy this mobile then you would have requested them a replacement instead of a refund
IReplacement in case of manufacturing or other defects is reasonable but packing and dumping used phones as new one with two ised sim cards inside? That explains what quality checks Xiaomi / Amazon have and what they think of their customers. Had this happened in any western country, it’d have been a nail in Xiaomi’s coffin. I am happy thst i received a refund and closed the chapter once and for all.
