i received it yesterday but not opened the box yet. If it is not up to the mark i can sell it online. Getting good offers now. Because in amazon.com lot of users saying black friday headphones are not having good sound quality than normal priced headphones.

Whatever i sold it and ordered ATH M50X from amazon for 7600/- Happy now. Finally i sold it anyway.

Cancelled ATH m50x order from amazon the guy who showed interested to purchase hd 598 last minute backed. I couldn’t resist anymore so i opened the box and want to listen what it sounds for 18k price. Started play music in default player with viper4android Seriously it sounds like dumb. I totally disappointed even my es 18 sounded better. I started playing all songs gettin so frustrate and kept the headphone aside and slept since someone said it needs some burning. After some good sleep woke up. Installed poweramp from appstore and set the eq has techno and listened the same songs it sounds different. Definitely different but i feel there is no bass out comparing to my es 18 and lg quadbeat 2. Mainly i noticed the voice crispness sound separation and Background sounds good. Let me burn this headphones more time will see how much sound clarity it is getting out more. Seriously i can say no bass on these headphones which i expected but the clarity that fills my ears. I tried in default music player also with viper4android enabled. It sounded well than poweramp but this time i disabled viper bass in settings other setting remains same. Nice something different music but interesting. So these are headphones for feel the music with almost no to less bass. BTW i directly connected to lg g3. Will try connected with fiio amp and let you know. I think with amp connected background voices i can hear clearly. Its too different hearing music with less bass. Definitely not completely satisfied will update soon after some burning and play with eq settings.

Senheisser has got 50 Ohms impedance, so, it means it has more potential compared with 16 Ohms (es 18) earphones, 16 Ohms ones will be suitable for low voltage sources and gets damaged/distorted if those are connected to high RMS voltage sound sources.

This headphones is quality product and it has got tons of more potential compared with es 18. As it has got 50 ohms impedance, it will be having more and more maximum volume potential than es 18 and it will be suitable with any rms voltage sound sources and gives distort free sound. And also it has got 112dB sensitivity, it means at any point of signal, it will give more decibels per milli watt, and consume less power as impedance is high.

Finally after 2 days non stop burning and lot of research on audio equalizer mods i made this headphones sound loke bose headphones. Seriously i mean it. These headphones are capable of giving deep lows without surpassing mids and highs. You need to do research all forums like headfi. These are capable but most of us never explored it. Btw.. No amp just directly using on lg g3 which is 10 times louder clearer crispier bassier than before.. Never sell these cans until or unless i check and confirm m50x proved better than this. I doubt it can’t.

You have no idea how much you disgraced Sennheiser and particularly this product just by comparing it with Bose!

I only mean lows like bose. I know bose are only for lows. Most of them telling this cans lack bass but if we tune it i do wonders without losing mids and highs.

Viper4android. Forget about those tweaks. Waste of time it ruins the real sound quality. I learned alot after purchasing these headphones. These headphones are balanced and having flat response. These are the headphones play the music as how it is composed by artist. First thing i did disabled all tweaks and turned off the equalizers and turned down the volume to 50%. These headphones are not tweaked with lows or highs to give un nature sound. Flat response to give natural sound output. What i learnt and felt from these headphones is music is not about loudness. It’s all about feel and immerse in music. I am using it on lg g3 without any amp at 50 percent volume its giving super wide soundstage like highs mids and lows are well balanced. Literally you can hear all the music instruments in these headphones. But if you crank it more it is destroying the soundstage. Bass is definetly there after some good burning period. Bass is not overemphaize it only comes to play when bass instrument plays but that i more than enough once your ears getting used with the sound. Thumping or head rattling bass you wil not get on these headphones. I connected to laptop which is having built in integrated good soundcard. Sound volume triples from what i heard from lg g3 and watching movies make you feel you were sitting inside 5.1 channel home theatre with surround sound. But you have to buy a good dac/amp like fiio 10k atleast. Fiio 07k not made big difference when connected to mobile. DAC is must for these to get the good sound quality from these headphones since it has 50ohm impedance. To drive its full potential you must be connected with good DAC/AMP for portable devices. These are open back cans which gives wide soundstage than closed headphones but at the same time it leaks more sound outside so that others can hear what you are listening. Not fit for travelling or other keep silence places. Comfort level is too good. Portability is a slight issue since it can’t fold. But overall for the price it is bang for bucks.
