getting this error Failed to mount/sdcard (no such file or directory)

getting this after selection install update via SD card into recovery mode

You are completely stock right? I mean you havent rooted and installed custom recoveries like TWRP or CWM or Philiz?
This update package only works for stock recovery for devices without any modifications
Do one thing, remove the sd card, use an adapater to plug in to pc and check the file system of it
If it says FAT32 or ExFat, format the SD card to NTFS
If it says NTFS, format to FAT32
It shouldnt be on exFat most probably, as this is mostly used for linux kernals
and after formatting, place the update zip file in the sd card and try to update

no i haven’t rooted my phone and after formating from FAT32 to NTFS and then again tried but still getting same error

What’s the size of the update file you’ve downloaded?
300+mb one or 400+ one?

400+ one getting error failed to mount

i think the 444 MB OTA file is for Karbonn Sparkle V that’s y i’m getting this error

I have succesfully updated my phone to android 6.0 version but now i have facing problem everytime when i am trying to connect my phone to my pc via USB it not connecting my phone to my pc please help me please

Go to Settings > About Phone > Click on Build number MRA58M multiple times to enable developer options
Once enabled navigate to Settings > Developer Options > Select USB Configuration
Select MTP (Media Transfer Protocol) there and you are done

done this bro but still not able to connect phone via usb ( i have made sd card as internal memory on phone)
also when ever i try to download anything from google chrome in phone getting error no sd card

If you have 3g mobile data, then u can download and install right away.

But i would suggest to go home and use WIFI and install. OTA update file size is 337 mb.

I am facing huge battery drain issue after updating to marshmallow. Earlier I was getting about 5 to 6 days of battery backup but now it doesn’t go beyond 8 hours. I have cleared cache memory, factory reset the device. But it didn’t helped. I did everything which I can do but it didn’t helped. So is anyone else also facing this issue.

I have also updated marshmallow I have no problem with it I like this marshmallow because in lollypop version my phone was showing memory full after just 10 apps installation but now I have 68 apps on 4gb phone its amazing still I have 250mb spce on phone thanks to marshmallow

Were you using a Nokia 3310 earlier?

@getready But I do sense too much heating after the update. How does your mobile behave now? Do you find this update better than L?

Hi. Have you updated it? If no, why don’t you do it the way we all did? Downloading the package on PC and then flashing it on your handset. It’s better considering the size of the file.

Hardly getting 1.5hrs screen on time with latest update which used to be a hour more on lollipop
but Marshmallow is fast, app loading time is reduced a lot
But battery backup issue is troubling me the most

Yes, I noticed it as well. Flipkart app loads much more quickly now. Mobile network data connects in a flash, that too BSNL. But wifi connection takes longer than it did in L.

stock marshmallow is crap on andriod one devices, worst battery backup, reverted back to cyanogen 12.1 (5.1) & waiting for cyanogen 13

They will fix things in subsequent updates.

@getready When I try to login to a different gmail account of mine (I mean, other than the one fed in my mobile google settings) on my android chrome (with incognito as well) it throws up the following message. But the cookie settings are all fine AFAIK. Any idea how to resolve this issue?

You can easily revert back to lollipop.

1) Unlock the bootloader

2) Flash the 5.1 zip via sp tool

3) relock the bootloader

4) Don’t update to 6.0 again until they patch the battery drain issue …

Even i had this issue during the initial stages after upgrade but now its working fine
but back then, incognito worked for me
