Does this modem supports mtnl ? Plz reply
if you want to use only one device for broadband, this won’t help. you need to have a ADSL wifi router(if looking for WiFi).
this will be useful if you have a modem already and wanting to get WiFi enabled. (two devices need to be connected all the time)
somebody pls suggest me can i use for you brodband connection?
and what is modm with router and simple router?
is this router with modem?
and wher modem required? help me

Modem needed for all telephone operated broadband (airtel, bsnl, mtnl etc). ADSL router is the term used for it.
If you need the same with wireless connectivity, you need to go for a ADSL wireless router.
Now,
if you have a ADSL router(modem) already, want a wireless to it, you can buy this and connect to existing modem/router do it acts as Wi-Fi router and shares the internet by connecting your ADSL modem.
This router is a basic wireless router and nothing else.
This is used for broadband and fiber connection given through the network cable (not phone line) like Tikona, ACT etc.
Oops. YOU broadband? is it with a telephone number ? if not this will work.

become a fan:)
no telephone number …so i can buy now right?
and how many device i can connect simultensuly?
Searched for you broadband and found that is connected by cable. so this should be the only device.
You can connect 4 devices through cable (desktop or laptops without WiFi) and practically unlimited WiFi clients. up to 10 wireless clients should not be a problem. one you connect more than that, router tend to behave weirdly.
If you wanted to connect 10+ devices, look for a little better one

YES ! Just a wireless router with MODEM ! 300Mbps
Can someone suggest a good Modem along with this router. Or is it good to go with a router with modem without the hassle of handling the two.. TIA
i think this will help you !!!
Thanks for suggestion. can you pls reconfirm that this is useful for BSNL braodband. I see that it supports both ADSL as well as DSL, difference I am not too sure.

For BSNL broadband, YOu need to have an adsl modem/router. If you have a modem, you can make that wireless by using this router.
This alone can not work with BSNL broadband. !!!
About the router : I am not too pleased with this router. Signal drops to one point at times (comes back soon). Pages loading bit slower at times (got a 20Mbps connection). DigiSol router 150Mbps was giving better signal through out without any reduction in speed. I did not check thoroughly, so cant confirm it whether the problem is because of the router itself. Updated the firmware before using it though. Will check for couple of days more!
price updated 699/-

Quoting from one of the answered questions in amazon.
Yes, This Router has a mode called WDS Bridging mode(Wireless Repeater Mode)where say u have an existing router A with its password being ‘pass123’ and the name of the network is ‘WIFI1’ and u want to use this router as a repeater, u can connect this router wirelessly to that router by going to the Router control Panel and selecting WDS and it will have a scan option where u can scan for available networks. After selecting ‘WIFI1’ in the list, enter its password ‘pass123’ and connect and that is. However, u need to make minor settings changes too , in the router settings i.e 192.168.0.1 for TP Link u need to disable DHCP and change the router address from 192.168.0.1 to something else like 192.168.0.10 to avoid conflict when u want to access the settings for say Router A from ur own Bridged Network i.e Router B . And this is it. You are all set and done to use this. However, in my experience, this model is giving me major headaches since i use it as a repeater myself and it just stops transmitting randomly and i have to turn it off and back on to get it to work. Happens frequently. WDS is still new so i dont know if this is a protocol issue or a router issue or the model i have is damaged. Also, do remember that the transmission gets affected in repeater mode. For example: if ur internet connection is a 4mbps connection on Router A , after bridging ROUTER B with it, and if ur connected to ROUTER B , expect a speed drop of 1/2 = 4mbps/2 = 2mbps .So u will get around 2mbps while connected to the second router. Hope this helps. Good luck! « show less

I am yet to get my device but that’s some great information. KG for your efforts.
If you guys want to test the TP-link admin panel, you can test everything from the link below:
http://www.tp-link.in/resources/simulator/wr840…
Now, I am waiting for my router.
Any of you find this too ?
My laptop ( with Intel® Centrino® Ultimate-N 6300 AGN) which normally gets a full N bandwidth of 450 Mbps on wireless N, gets only unto 144 Mbps on this router, irrespective of the distance of the router.
Since nothing I tried got it to cross the 150 mark, I now suspect if these routers are TL-WR840N firmware over some lower hardware and hence getting sold cheap.
Please check the bandwidth you are getting when connected to the router and post back.
which modem or router will be best for me available t the best price …with best wifi range….please help
I hv airtel broadband at my home,

I hv airtel broadband at my home,
Airtel gives a wifi router free if you buy their 4 mbps and upward plan for a minimum of 6 months, that is the best option. And you get to keep the modem.
Since you already have a connection, ask their customer care about it. They should understand that you can anytime close connection and start a new one to get the free router, so they will cooperate.

Not sure how you calculate but with 150N wireless router, the max speed I get was 65mbps. With this router the speed has gone up to 150mbps. Remember its on 2.4ghz bandwidth and if you increase the channel bandwidth from auto to 40, you will see the difference.
I just got the router couple of mins back and setup everything. So far everything looks good.
Got refund of Rs. 121 from Amazon in my bank account..
Costed me 649- 121 = Rs. 528
I have Asus RT N13u b1 (DDWRT)..
If I make this router REPEATER, will bandwidth reduces to half as in case of TP link router?
Does this modem supports mtnl ? Plz reply
