SO guys i bought this gift card from amazon http://www.amazon.in/Axis-Bank-Gift-Card/dp/B00... …
Shipping was quick and i received it in 2 days of order .
After receiving card i wasnt able to use it anywhere- made several calls to cc, visited ATM, axis bank branch but none helped at all..
SO wats the procedure -
1) Does it come preactivated-?
Ans- NO we have to activate it, As i said before cc is of no use we can directly mark an email to [email protected] with all card details.
Though i didnot got any reply to my mail but card was activated in 48 hours.
2) How to check balance?
Axis Bank provides you the facility of Balance Enquiry on your Smart Pay Card through ATM & Internet Banking facilities. The Axis Bank Smart Pay Card Kit contains an Internet Banking PIN, an ATM PIN. & a Telebanking PIN.
For checking Balance & Mini Statement Internet Banking
Go to the Axis Bank Home page.
Select Prepaid Cards option in Internet Login Tab options.
Enter your Prepaid card number for login ID
Enter the WEB PIN provided for login password.
You may now check the mini statement and balance on the card along with various other service options.
3) Most Imp question-
Can it be used online??
ANS- yes , it can be used on sites with VBV supported websites which i guess coves all sites.
The Axis Bank Smart Pay cards can be used for making purchases online at VBV (Verified by Visa) certified merchants’ websites.
Prepaid Card Usage:
When you visit any shopping website, choose the payment option as Debit Cards.
Enter the Prepaid Card number, Expiry Date, & Registered E-mail address as requested.
Once you submit the request you are taken to the VBV password verification page, enter the VBV password* as generated by you.
*VBV Password Generation Process:
As a first time user, you would be required to register as a VBV card user and set an online payment password for all future purposes.
Once the payment gateway takes you to “VBV Registration Page” the user would be asked to enter the ATM Pin, Expiry Date & Registered E-mail address as a first time registration process.
Once registered & you set a password, your VBV registered Password can be used for all future online transactions.
4) Does it work with payumoney?
Ans- yes i used on foodpanda, payumoney while making payment
I also made transaction on goibibo for HOTEOSS coupon offer

Tried this already,
But didn’t work (Actually this won’t work unless and until they have entered your details in back end) for one of the cards which was activated (So called as per axis CC) !!!
As @Magus mentioned above I am fed up of Axis CC too,

I am also getting pissed off because of their stinky services.
Anyone please tell me what has to be done about the amount which got deducted from my Axis gift cards. I have written them an email but I know they will respond within 1-2 years of duration for sure.

Did you try calling their tele banking number or their regular toll free no. and then ask to be transferred to prepaid dept?
Almost same thing happened to me, VBV was successful but transaction failed at PayTM. In my case though the balance was not debited even though VBV was a success. This happened twice.

Actually they do transfer but not all reps are aware of this and they don’t even bother to find out.
You have to select the banking option in the main menu, then pick option to speak to CC and then ask them to transfer to prepaid dept and insist on speaking to a manager/supervisor if they say they can’t transfer to giftcard/prepaid dept.
I have noted down the CCs name, date and time when I was transferred to gift dept from their toll free number so every time someone tells me they can’t transfer I refer to that person with the date and time or insist on speaking to a manager. I have managed to get transferred to the giftcard dept 2 out of 3 times but I am not sure if this would work at night

Unable to DO VBV.
I bought 3000 axis bank from amazon last month.It came preactivated with all pins and when I check in the axis bank site it gives balance as 3000 and says card active.

This is what my profile page look like.No info at all and I am not able to edit/add my info:
But I am unable to verify by visa so that I can’t do any transactions with the card.

If you did try registering for VBV at that same link then it seems like something went wrong while they processed your Amazon order. They normally pickup the phone number from your Amazon billing address and if that hasn’t happened, follow the instructions they have given, i.e. visit an Axis ATM. Let me know.

If you did try registering for VBV at that same link then it seems like something went wrong while they processed your Amazon order. They normally pickup the phone number from your Amazon billing address and if that hasn’t happened, follow the instructions they have given, i.e. visit an Axis ATM. Let me know.

I’m also facing exactly the same problem today .I got few cards today and faced issue with all cards .Till 5th August everything was working fine for Axis gift card but they have messed up with there VBV thing and it’s not working fine . Dropped them a mail already they would respond in next 48hrs …Lets see what they say
Me too exactly facing same problem in verify, used 2 cards earlier were ok, could register for password while 1st time payment itself, but now this issue with 3rd card.
If anyone has solution, let me know, prefer not to go to ATM

That is the problem.This is my first axis card and so I have to do VBV the first time.Users who have login already can add new cards by this way.
