Amazon has been long enough to know how to survive and crush their competitors.
Most of the dimers prefer Amazon anyway https://cdn3.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_cool.gif

Well yes Amazon is much Superior but your criteria is wrong.
Ranbaxy an Indian Pharma company was founded in 1961 by Punjabi Brothers was taken over by SunPharma which was founded in 1983 for 13,000 Crores https://cdn1.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_biggrin.gif

After some years it may happen that PayTM’s business would survive but Amazon and other ventures may die https://cdn1.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_smile.gif

Not happening anytime soon, having said that the cheap & often times illegal Chinese imports may make Paytm profitable alot earlier. Not to mention their payment banking license is gonna make them some insane amount of money, eventually https://cdn2.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_toungueout.gif

Been tracing them from 200 Crores valuation to 27000 Crore valuations/funding https://cdn2.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_smile.gif

Paytm is not just e-commerce. they were the first to understand the importance of e-wallet and make it their prime vertical and even go for a banking licence. They also were the first to take hold of the opportunity provided by the RBI-Uber tussle. So yes, paytm can go a long way.

When compared to Metro cash and carry, Grofers is mostly costlier. But its USP lies in the ease of ordering and home delivery.

Amazon is a worldwide giant, so a few crores here and there will not make a dent. In India amazon is a late entrant. but it has already made its mark among the customers by its superior service. it has the best customer care. Also Amazon is a major stake holder in Quickcilver. And Quickcilver is a practical monopoly in gift cards in India, across all chains.

Dimers don’t prefer any single company. If, tomorrow, the neighborhood shop started offering me more discounts, I’ll shop there. It is savings that matters, not the company.
