A truly well made movie can break the barriers of language with ease. I have mentioned below three exceptional movies which any true movie lover will absolutely love and adore.
A beautiful Kurdish Movie “Bekas”
A heart touching Iranian movie “Children oftheHeaven”
A very popular German movie “Secret intheEyes” (The last 5 minutes of this movie is simply out of this world)
These 3 movies are so brilliant that even though they are not English and you have to watch them using English substitutes, you will still get hypnotized by the sheer brilliance of the Art on display
Haven’t watched Bekas yet but watched Children of Heaven and Secret in their Eyes. Both are my favorite movies. Have you watched ‘A Separation’ and ‘Cinema Paradiso’? WATCH THEM if you haven’t.
You will definitely love ‘Bekas’ The movie will transport you to the broken life in Iraq
I have watched ‘A Separation’ and loved it immensely, but haven’t watched ‘Cinema Paradiso’ Thanks for the suggestion, will see it today
On a slightly different note, how many of you use Plex to enjoy and share your media libraries? Any serious movie will immediately fall in love with Plex. It’s so freaking brilliant. Try it once, if you haven’t already.
have seen only Secret in their Eyes and Separation.. Will take time and see the rest..
There were a few Korean movies I loved – The Classic, My sassy girl, II Mare ..
I once even saw "the Classic’ without subtitle also

The list is not exhaustive and so added only those which were on top of my mind:-}
Defintely, 2001: A Space Odyssey, A Clockwork Orange, Full Metal Jacket are part of my all time favourites, but I am not a big fan of his Dr. Stragelove and The Shining.
Who all have seen and Understood : Donnie Darko
And how many times you had to see the movie and read various explanations to Understand it???
