Flipkart is not giving replacement for mobiles without smartchk app downloading and diagnosing

I have purchased Redmi2 10 days ago, opted for flipkart due to their 30 days replacement guarantee, I have got faulty piece, with tremendous heating fast battery draining problem, I raised replacement request, on second day I got call from their technical team that I have to install smartchk app that will connect to their system and they will analysis the problem with mobile, I argumented with them that it is no where written on your product page that for replacement I have to follow this procedure, they have no answer but to repeatedly insist for app installation, I said I do not have Internet connection, then they said they won’t be able to replace the handset if I do not follow what they said. Suggestions needed on this issue.

Don’t act to smart do whatever flipkart technician says.I had moto e2 in past i tried for replacement.After i installed there app they told me they didn’t find any fault in my phone but i still insist them to replace it.They told me to go to nearest moto service centre and obtain written copy from service centre which will mention my device is faulty,then only they will replace it. Ebay suspending accounts in accordance with their policies that they dont like to share with others isnt unheard of either

Most of the scruplous sellers learn the tactics from ebay only
Ebay is actually a breeding ground for scammers who intend to hone their skills in the art of scamming and frauds

Users (both sellers and buyers) abuse the system. eBay has much less fault in this.

I still think that the best website on planet is ebay. It has the best system for solving a problem if anything goes wrong.
You can contact seller, Go to resolution centre, Open ebay guarantee claim. On many sites, I can’t even contact a seller.

If you are banned on ebay, you can contact Mumbai office or US. If you are banned on Amazon, there is not way you will ever be back. My accounts haven’t been banned even once, so i may not know everything about this.

It is possible that Good sellers don’t sell their products on ebay due to high eBay and paisapay/paypal fees.

Amazon is better than eBay in customer service but it is better for buyers and less for sellers. Buyers abuse 30 days return policy like it is their birthright.

^ He was a new seller and all first few transactions had claims. 100% defect rate and probably couple of more violations and hence he was suspended.

Most of the cases for suspension over here I have seen are EBay is able to link connection between buyer and seller.

Finally someone understood my stand, today I got my shipment which was pending since20 days from eBay, I also opened guarantee claim but that also took 5-6 days now tell me why should I suffer for the shipment I was expecting in, 5-6 days, I have no time to run after my orders, what is the use of item if it is not receive on time, and what is the use of purchasing from flipkart when I am not getting what I have been promised? I could have been opted for snapdeal have 7 days no question asked guarantee (I have prior experience that if you post complaints on their twitter page you will get call within 30 minutes ), or Amazon with 10 days guarantee. Of course I cannot fight with giant like flipkart if they are firm on their stand then I have no choice but to follow what they saying but at least I can ask them proper reason for their hidden terms and conditions. Please remove red apple as I am asking mere opinion and not posting any misleading or fake deal.

Next, try selling the stuff online. There are genuine cases for return however there are so many fraud cases. They have to minimize fraud activities and this is a good step to prevent abuse of return policy.

Just be contended that they’ll provide replacement after finding fault. Try any other site or offline shop other than these Giants. They’ll shoo you showing the words in big letters on the invoice ‘Warranty by Principle company’..

If you don’t have patience and want everything as per your satisfaction, then online shopping is not for you OP .

This is very bad from flipkart, why should I go to service center when they are the ones who sent a faulty phone.

No question of patience here, FYI earlier got number of gvs n SD cash for loop holes in system, anyway will not strain the issue much with flipkart, after 2-3 interactions will follow guidelines, after all all are thinking that I am creating unnecessary obstacles for myself then it might be true.

I bought a laptop from Flipkart last year. It was defective out of the box since hard drive was not getting detected even in BIOS. Spoke to their tech team who asked me some irrelevant troubleshooting questions . Flipkart support lady wanted me to update drivers . I made her understand that you cannot update drivers without HDD getting detected .anyways, she agreed and processed replacement . if I was against their diagnostics, they would not have helped me . Try buying a phone locally and see if they provide you replacement for defective items .

I’m pretty sure Flipkart has trained their employees on smartcheck. Op would have mentioned “overheating” in return request form. It would be been different diagnostics procedure for no boot/ no power etc .

Even I had very bad experience on flipkart for replacement of L1020.first they told me to return device but when I sent through bluedart(my place flipkart don’t hav pickup service)but at their end they r not receiving and denied to receive item for two weeks.I called minimum 20times to pickup the device but they saying thay didn’t get any item after all I called and tell that I will file case and i want to replace my phone and next day I got call from flipkart and they replaced my phone.

And you were wondering why Flipkart is having anti-fraud measures in place now. Unfortunately, you seem to have choosen a path which will eventually force e-commerce to tighten their grip even further. Don’t be surprised if in future e-commerce will start to profile buyers based on history just how banks these days are filtering out some smart alecs using CIBIL scores.

Now I understood that speaking truth with flipkart has no use, firstly I sincerely complained of poor battery and heating issue and requested replacement, but FK has irritated me much with this app check issue (once again my strong objection is that they never mentioned anything about app check, if they have mentioned, I would have certainly done that), now with the advice from senior dimer i once again raised replacement issue with screen not working problem, although they insisted on going to service center and get a certification of problem, but I told them that there is no service center in our city, then finally they agreed for replacement, received confirmation sms.

There is no benefit or going to solve your issue through tha smartchk.app..cause its an unauthorized app while installing OS informs its very harmful to your device..After the process with flipcare there is no issue they will tell and simply tells it has compromised between seller and buyer..the app will check only the software basis..i have a issue on my back panel damaged and extremly heating while charging..on my 5th day of purchase they checked by smartchk app and told backpanel is ok and mobile is ok..i thought how an app can check the outer accessories.they simply making fool.At last they will suggest to make factory reset…thats all..

Bro can u tell me what to do….. They are asking for smartchk diagnosis…. And i m bit sure it is of no use…they are just trying to fool me up…. I have ordered a lenovo vibe p1m… And the issue is heating….. What were tge procdure abd short ways u used will u let me know so that i can get a refund… I havr lost faith in ws retail….. They are just fooling the customers….really there was no service centre or u just fooled them?…..

It will be the same if you can get 100 replacements
I dunno why everyone is complaning about over heating for just 43 degrees? If your device has a metallic body its very common for your device to get heated upto 48-50 degrees.
Even for plastic body devices, heating depends on how thick your device back cover is
For instance, meizu m1 note has a very thin back cover so everyone used to feel that device is getting too hot
Its not a defect,it is how it is supposed to be

Becaus everyone tried to get replacement/refund for silly reasons, flipkart stopped caring about genuine concerns now
and also this is the reason for unconditional account bans at later time. You think flipkart will just dump the devices you returned without any testing?

Bingo…. The phone stopped working….it automatically get switched off although the charging was 95 percent….. And now i m trying to turn it in and after four or five attempts i succeed only for five minutes….. Now what… My problem is geniune…. I don’t have that much time neither money to play dirty tricks wid flipkart…. I received the order yesterday at 2 pm….and i registered complaint at 8 pm….they had said they will call me at 1:30 pm today….keeping my fingers crossed…. Just hoping to get my money back… Lets see what happens… I will keep posting
