Anyway, it's called "Baal Aadhaar" & it's issued by UIDAI specifically for children below the age of 5 years.
1. The Baal Aadhaar card serves as proof of identity and address for young children.
2. No biometric data (such as fingerprints or iris scans) is taken for children below 5 years of age.
3. The Baal Aadhaar card is issued in blue color by UIDAI.
4. The child's Baal Aadhaar card is linked to one of the parent's Aadhaar cards.
5. The government of India mandates that the Baal Aadhaar card will be issued free of cost.
Application Process :Â
Online :
Parents can apply for the Baal Aadhaar card online through the official UIDAI website.
1. Visit the official UIDAI website.
2. Select the language you prefer.
3. Click on "My Aadhaar" and then choose the "Book an Appointment" option.
4. Provide your mobile number and receive an OTP.
5. Schedule an appointment at the nearest Aadhaar enrolment center.
6. Visit the center with necessary documents (including the parent's Aadhaar card) for enrolment.
Offline :
1.Parents can also visit the nearest Aadhaar enrolment center for offline registration.
2.One parent must submit their Aadhaar card, and the child does not need to provide biometric data.
3.Relevant documents are scanned, and the Baal Aadhaar card is sent via post or can be downloaded online.
