Is there any way to force selecting particular EVDO tower? I remember now BSNL guy told there are 2 towers, 1 is dead and second one is 2 KM so if you get signals from 2 KM one then you will get connectivity. Is there any chance I am getting signals from dead tower? CDMA signal is showing… Can I force switch different tower?

i dont think there is way to catch our desired tower out of 2.

seems you ll get more signal by changing datacard’s position.

you are using on desktop or lap.

use USB Extension cable .
i get more signal using this.

check at any other location near ur home.

many users in ur area / dist from tower are factors that affect speed.

Try placing the modem in different positions and move it a little, try adjusting height and different corners. I think you go the point. You will see it varying speeds. Find the perfect place and hang/fix the modem right there. It’s silly but it works.

1) Remove ur data card from PC

2) install this BSNL ZTE 2766 dashboard:

for evdo south users there is a selfcare portal called genext.So that users can recharge in less values like 50,100 etc. when some recharge offers come in paytm ,freecharge like sites.
Then desired plan can be activated using account balance.

for non south users use any offers from online recharge sites like freecharge,paytm,mobikwik ..

BEST RECHARGE OPTION IS:
Recharge for Rs55
Get 2 days validity.

Thus recharging 15 times per month cost only 825 per month.
dont recharge when not needed..

Freecharge is good for recharging purpose and PayTM for shopping

Yup its a good option to choose if u r getting good bsnl evdo signal in ur area.
Best is to buy the bsnl cdma, get all activation process done and then do a recharge of 55rs(unlimited data, validity two days) and test its signal n speed in ur area.

So by this you wont loose much if u r getting poor signal else u can njoy the speed

Don’t do that.
That can only work in Postpaid not in Prepaid. Even when paid 838 special, Failure chance is more than success. That is BSNL

1. General Plan – In this you have to directly Recharge you desired pack in 1 shot
Advantage – You only have to pay when you need Internet its just like recharge and use
Disadvantage – You have to recharge in 1 shot of the desired pack . So you cant use much offers for this.

2. I don’t know exact name of this plan :- in this you have to pay for all the time.
Advantage :- You can top up your data card by any amount of recharges value and you pack will be automatically renewed on the date. so in this you can use all the offers.
Disadvantage :- You have to pay for all time even you are using or not

Suggest you to check bsnl portal most probably you will get balance of 1000-Taxes( But if you have auto- renewal plan than you will not be charged 838 rs. you will be charged around 762 Rs. earlier they charge me 750 rs when with tax amount is 825).

You can Recharge via freecharge if it succeeded then check your speed, if not then follow-up up freecharge for the txn.

First: There exits ONLY one plan right now. The ‘general plan’ under which you pay Rs.55 for 2 days or Rs.836 for a month (there is also two denominations for 7 days and 15 days under this plan).

Second: NO, you can’t recharge and activate the plan. You have to recharge with the specific plan amount as ‘STV’.
