Hi Guys

Has anybody done online transactions using their SBI DC recently? Everything worked till nov-18 (my last transactions)

Today only when I tried to use DC in FC, I got mobile number not registered for e-commerce transactions So, no OTP is coming.How all of a sudden mobile number got unregistered.I can’t understand if this error is thrown from bank site/Verified By Visa..

As you know,OTP is required in SBI for ALL online transactions.When I called CC,they gave me awesome reply that I should visit my branch & fill up a form to get the mobile number registered again https://cdn2.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_evil.gif I’m out of state & these people want me to run to the base branch for their mistake https://cdn2.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_evil.gif No one gives damn why this happened!!! No option of updating mobile number at any branch by giving your ID proof/any ATM..Wonderful.

I want to know

1. If SBI has made any changes/updates to the website recently.Has anyone faced any issues after that?
2. Should we register again & again every year for linking up our mobile numbers (I hope no..but I have little doubt)
3. 2nd level/higher level escalation contacts
4. Any work arounds to get OTP.I remember they recently launched some app to get OTP.Is it really working? Will it again require OTP/device verification? Can this app be installed on non-registered phone?

That news is in air for couple of months.
& Sbi is pulling out Internet banking support from such wallets. It may get more aggressive if they decided to go with highly promoto SBI Buddy.

But I’ve never faced such issues with debit card
But pockets / payzap may survive because SBI uses icici, citi, hdfc payment servers to fallout high traffic. As long as it is effect they wont just pull the plugs. (Atleat I hope)

But what it have to do with ur debit card OTP issue ?
Are u able to solved it ? What did u do then ?

Yes its solved by escalation.Coordinating with base branch is useless & time wasting.They asked me to write a application,send it by post so that the branch manager will approve & he will scan it then send email to IT manager who can resolve the issue.This was told to me after 10-12 phone calls..around 15 days got wasted in between https://cdn2.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_evil.gif

I got hold of most of the AGM’s,DGM’s email id’s (no matter which department they belong to) & sent mail.I also requested them to direct that mail to the team who can resolve the issue.Within 1 day I got reply from head office & issue resolved in 2 days https://cdn1.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_smile.gif
