At that time of taking vaccines, we all knew that emergency vaccines (All covid vaccines were emergency vaccines) would create some complexities.
At least who has taken Covishield know what could happen and they could take some precautions.

Being aware of the rampant mismanagement, neglect in adherence to the practices of managing the cold supply chain.. i had ZERO faith in any of these injectables.
Even the government allowed firms to retrospectively change the expiry date of these and legally claim an extended shelf life.
Surely it was better to simply take water instead.
I was still ready to take the latter ones developed in India, Japan and so on.. which could be taken orally and did not necessarily need a cold supply chai throughout.
But the approvals for the local made one came tad too late.
I never took any Covid-19 vaccine.
Was a nervous wreck though when I was told by my mom that they had taken the jab three days prior.. like they kept it hidden. I do not ever like to be on video calls, else if in that week I had got to see my folks, even on video.. I might have detected something.

I think this is over hyped news just because elections are running. Other wise actually very minuscule number of people will get these symptoms.
P. S - my whole family got Covishild 2/3 dose. But I simply say - darne ka koi baat nahin. Every injection having side effects . So dose this one also having.nothing to worry.

In a legal document submitted to the British High Court, AstraZeneca admitted, "It is admitted that the AZ vaccine can, in very rare cases, cause TTS (Thrombosis with Thrombocytopenia Syndrome). The causal mechanism is not known."
Symptoms of TTS:
"Persistent and progressively worsening headache in addition to focal neurological symptoms like visual disturbances are described as early red flags for suspecting Vaccine Induced TTS in patients,"
So, first thing its rare and second thing is, look for symptoms. If you don't see those symptoms, you should be good to not worry 😊

Even having tender coconut water and its puppy internals can have 'side effects'. (My over weight senior citizen relative avoids it in even spring season by claiming it gives cold. Not to mention the diabetes.)
Unlike the polio or other vaccines that had years and years of sample size from people of all ethnic and socio economic backgrounds and are today relatively safe
all these 'two minute noodle' style .. hurriedly put together vaccines were mostly prepared on theoretical principles alone.
If properly researched and tweaked now also, some of these side effects can be made even more rare.
But no vaccines ever have been without ANY risky side effects.

There can be rare side effects related to blood clotting and death. Although these clotting issue should arise within few months but blood clotting in brain may occur after a long period of time.

Generic drugs don't go through any study as they are copy of original product which have gone through rigorous study.

Literally Everyone, especially vulnerable populations were under death threat.
I was initially apprehensive to take a vaccine that is not well studied, so kept myself in isolation until I decided to take it.
But the very People that are crying side effects lined upto take the vaccines first. Some people lied, bullied their way into getting the vaccines sooner.
And lets not forget, Everyone knew the vaccine was untested, it was widely publicized. There was no other news.
There were concerns openly discussed about side effects.

My neighbour & far relatives died of lung failure & pneumonia after COVID. One of them didn't took Vaccine & took COVID lightly.
Other took Vaccine but within 1 month got COVID again 2nd time. [Old person] but lungs failed.
Every allopathy medicine has side effects. Election time propaganda rises. Giving & making Vaccines for 100 crore people & also giving away to other countries is itself a herculean task.

Earlier they said vaccine is safe. Now admitting to rare side effects. No one knows what will happen in long term
In extremely rare cases, any vaccine can cause side effects, just like any drug can. For the vast majority of people, they do not. That's why they are so extensively tested in multiple phases clinical trials. I thought even the most idiotic of people knew this for centuries. It is not specific to any particular vaccine or even the covid vaccine.
No vaccine company is going to come out and say upfront - hey our vaccine could kill 0.0000001% from anyone of you. It's an understood standard disclaimer.
For a disease like COVID-19 which was once fatal, administering covid vaccines to everyone would've killed or damaged the health of very very few people compared to if all of them didn't take the vaccine at all in which case a significant number would have died from covid.
So nothing really that's sensationalist in this news. All vaccines have very very minor risks. If you choose to not vaccinate yourself, you are taking the risk of suffering or dying from the disease.
