TIMTARA.COM IS A MASSIVE FRAUD

TIMTARA.COM is a fraud website. The site is full of cheats. What they show on their website, they never deliver. In September 2011, I had ordered an original Lenovo Y410 laptop battery(with 1 year Lenovo India warranty) from Timtara.com, an E-commerce site that was rated among top-20 by Dataquest magazine in January this year. After using a 15 per cent discount coupon, I was asked to pay Rs 4760 for the same which I paid through a HDFC Bank cheque no 840903 dated 24.9.2011. The money was deposited with ICICI Bank account no of Infosecure Consulting Pvt Ltd(the company that owns Timtara.com) on September 26. I was assured that the battery would be delivered to me within 8-10 working days. But the product was never delivered. Disgusted with the attitude of TIMTARA.COM people I cancelled my order on October 13. I was assured that my money will be refunded within 72 hours of cancellation.

Needless to say it was not fulfilled. Then I lodged another complaint to the chief customer care of the website, who wrote back saying that I would get my money on October 22. When I did not get my money back on Oct 22, I called up TIMTARA.COM on October 24, I was again told that the refund process is on and would take 7 more days due to Diwali holidays.

When I ordered the product, my order no was 10094113. After I sent the money, the order number was changed to 10098789. Whenever I call up the customer care number 9560114499, it comes either busy or the call gets disconnected soon after someone mumbles something over the phone at the other end. The company’s address is Infosecure Consulting Pvt. Ltd., B-26 Second Floor, Sector 8, Noida, Uttar Pradesh -201301.

My sincere advice to all people who want to buy something on TIMTARA.COM is that if you want to donate your money to a needy person, please do it. But please don’t send money to TIMTARA.COM in the hope that they would send your product because they never have any product in the first place.
