I’ve seen topics with zero interest receive 3-4 suggestions and upvotes instantly right after the OP tags users. Unfortunately, this is just one of the malpractices followed in the hot deals section. I don’t want to add anything further because I know nothing is going to come out of this discussion. Most of the users who indulge in these tactics are regular deal posters and I don’t think the admins will be willing to take action against them.

So We kind of know that tagging or so called Bcc is used to ask for suggestions etc and we do factor in such things while promoting deals to FPD. Most of the times, we see the suggestions and we immediately know or understand the pattern…

As far as excessive tagging goes, if we receive complaints against certain dimers, then we might think of removing the tagging feature for such dimers (which seems to be the current best solution to the problem)

Except for @vijayho, most dimers already knew what my response would be to such tags. So I didn’t even realize the scale of this issue until his recent tags.

Rather than reprimanding and discouraging such abusers, if you are going to be passive about this then let me tell you the problem with such an approach.
