I am planning to buy an auto-gear scooter in Chennai. My requirements are:
- Should be light-weight (I am lean, just around 55Kg
) - Should have good balance
- Should give decent mileage
Please suggest me on below questions:
- which one should I go in this list? Honda Activa i or Dio or TVS Wego or Suzuki Access or Yamaha Ray Z
- Your review on above models if you are using/used?
- Is it good to go for used scooters less than 3 yrs old? if yes, things to be checked before buying it?
- Any chennaites for local trade?
I am very new on buying bikes and I would be grateful to you if you could guide me

Activa any day… i have started liking it more than my beloved bike!!
Bhai…. i wonder why pep+ is not part of list it is
1. cheap to buy
2. cheap to run about 55+ average on road.
3. rugged and cheap to maintain too
my sis and wife keep it in start and go, stop and forget conditions still going strong from last 6 yrs.
and i bring loads(about 30 kilo) on it.
and yes….light weight too……..you are 55+kgs but my users are in range of 45-50kg and still handling was great and it goes upto 65kmpl without much fuss.

powerful engine and high pickup, even with 3 guys pickup is good
max speed is 90-95 kmph
No need to gear change, in our day to day high traffic [i bought for this reason]
Main thing is Luxury and no back pain, bikes will give back pain, don’t know about other scooters
Minus—-
weight, you have to start (it have self star, so no problem) even parking inside home
small wheel, so it make us feel slip
For me, i feel it’s big minus is wheel size, if it have little bigger wheel means, it will kill all other brands then we see only activa in roads 
Activa. I m using it and it gives me gr8 feeling while riding
There is a group on facebook named Moore Market. You can get second hand stuff there.
About the confusion, We have two Honda Activa at home and there have been no major complains. One is 5 years old and the other is 2 years old. I would suggest to go for Activa only.
