Need suggestion for buying TV

Hi,

I want to buy 1 24 inch TV within 13-15K. In that budget I found Panasonic 24×5d to be a good deal. In the local market, it is priced at Rs 17238. On flipkart, it is available at Rs 15290. On searching further, I found another 2 good deals:
1) Shopclues : Price Rs 15390, Rs 1000 off, 288 clue bucks (effectively Rs. 14102). Also, the page says “Free Panasonic Rice Cooker [SRW-A10] Worth Rs. 2090+Hungama Gift Voucher”

2) On Infibeam : Price Rs 14899, Rs 11 off using MANGOPEOPLE code and Rs 1490 as Wallet Money (effectively Rs 13398). The package includes 2 3D Glasses TDG-BR250/B and 3D Sync Transmitter. I am not sure what these are for? Does this TV have 3D functionality? I did not see anywhere, not even on panasonic website.

Now my question: 1) Is this TV good (I saw mixed reviews on flipkart).
2) in case it is a good buy, which offer to take (I dont know how the wallet works on infibeam).

Thanks for suggesting.. I am still thinking. Maybe I will go once more to the shops and see what the salesmen have to say. I have time till 15th Nov (the validity of the offers).

I think for your budget this tv is the best. It lacks a little on sound part but thats a thing one can overcome with speakers. And, yeah the picture quality is great. You may like to read the reviews here. Spec wise its the same but only the ‘D’ is missing in the name.

Thanks for your suggestions. The reviews are mixed here and the TV model is entirely different. It’s HD ready TV actually, that explains the ‘D’ on this TV. But on 24" one can hardly see difference. I will check out the audio quality in the shops and decide. Thanks again.

Where did you buy from?

By the way, I went to Panasonic showroom. They quoted Rs17000 (2 yr warranty, no other freebie). The picture quality was good. Sound seemed bit low, but that was in a huge hall. I guess that will be sufficient in my room. I can always buy a good sound system later if needed.
