How about looking towards HTC?
HTC’s are a little bit expensive and there are no models in 16.5K range. There is Wildfire S, Explorer which are in the range of 12K but the Screen Resolution will not support majority of Apps from Android Market. HTC Chacha is a different product but I feel its a bit expensive. But the build quality of HTC’s are commendable.

You won’t get Galaxy S easily as it has been replaced by Galaxy S Plus. You can go for Galaxy S Plus (1.4Ghz) but it will stretch your budget by 2K.
Also, there is Sony Ericsson Neo V for around 16K. You can get Galaxy SL I9001 in the range of 15K (Lower Internal Memory & Super LCD instead of Super Amoled)
If there is no hurry Then you should always wait for the right offer.
Never buy Sony Ericsson android phones. Consistently the least liked android manufacturer.
same here i am also in no hurry so waiting for right offer rite now at that price i see only sony neo v as an option or samsung galaxy s lcd version
@Hououin, Ya considering there debacle in Xperia upgrades.
But the company has promised that all there 2011 models will get Icecream Sandwich update. Don’t know whether they will honour their commitment. But if they do then Neo V is a good deal.
Even I was under the opinion that Sony Ericsson Andriod phones are not gud. i happened to recently purchase Neo V from ebay.in for 15760. Its a great phone for the price range.Camera is far better than Galaxy SL/S and Defy. Screen ppi is 265. In all an all-rounder.Also u get HDMI out and DLNA.
Considering Sony’s track record it’s extremely stupid to expect anything off them. Consider the rootkit scandal, the android updation problem, the playstation network hack, etc. You are setting yourself up for a heartbreak by giving money to them just to save a few bucks.
Are they that bad, I don’t know because the last SE phone that I bought was K810i which has a camera better than most of the present crop of Smartphones.
May be a lot has changed since the K series.
hey Hououin Kyouma………
whats rootkit scandal???
I dont know abt this.
and throw some light on sony’s android updation problem, the playstation network hack because i also want to purchase xperia neo V at this diwali.
look of sony xperia neo v is awesum along with its specification and price, which is 16k
and as for as my experiance on sony phones i have no any problem till date.
I have sony ericsn 580i and my room mate also have sony ericsn phone from last 2 year but dont have any problem
If you guys don’t have problems with seller warranty (rather No warranty) then you can go for just NEO as it has 8MP Exmos R Sensor and range is around 17K.
@ankit- neo v is available at 17500 from letsbuy prior to discount..so after 1000 rs discount at 16500 alongwith jabra bluetooth headset model no. 2045..why to go at 17k and that to without warranty
sony android series are not good..as per my experience only nokia, htc, apple have that good built quality…samsung is busy in launching new models every week, and does not provide update to old models..android 2.3 of galaxy SL was promised in july..and see,its oct but still no update…after sale service is also poor…
in htc you can go for desire which is an old model..with android 2.2..the android 2.3 was released officially but the performance on 2.2 was much better..
or for android 2.3 you can have desire s at 20l or incredible s at 21k on sulekha..in samsung galaxy sl,galaxy s plus…i would suggest to go for s plus coz preinstalled with gingerbread…since its newly launched model so better option is to wait for a month ( if you can)..then prices will drop and with discount you would be able to grab at 16-17k..
Never ever go with SOny!
Stupids now days!
You cant upgrade most of them!
Samsung have some hardware problmes do check them before
So far i am happy with HTC Leo
Go with Moto else
I have never used any motos but seems ok
Sony android phones are nt gud?dats seriously wrong…i have used it personally…hav Sony Xperia Mini Pro SK17i…awesome phone and the usage is too smooth
I’ve been a Sony follower for a long time and its worth buyin a Sony
I got Huawei U8500 for 6,750 from tradus and found it very nice!
Is Sony Neo Available in india ?? (not neo v).
confused b/w neo and gal. r / o2x
