StanC – Try Manhattan CC you get 5% off on shopping in stores and then 1st year it is free… other is go for StandC Mastercard, u get 5% off on utility bills…. basic one I guess it is still free for lifetime
Thanks for the reply bhai!
StanC – i am bit skeptical here…http://www.mouthshut.com/product-reviews/Standa…

Anymore suggestions?
don’t go on mouthshut or godaddy, mostly, people who has faced problems with services or product posts review on these sites.
I am using ICICI gold card from past 4 years no problem till now and no annual charges + payback points wid every purchase.
Go for ICICI CC against FD
eg. if you open a FD account of Rs 50,000 for min 1 year, you will get a Platinum CC absolutely free of charge with credit limit of 40,000 ( 80% of FD amount )
You can also earn 4 payback points equal to 1 Re on each spent of Rs 100.
No card charges or hidden charges – Its absolutely free.
Min FD should be of Rs 10,000 ( Credit limit 8,000 )

Regarding credit card against FD, Found this on dd itself, although it’s a rare scenario it seems…
@ usr86
That might be a rare case.
For All -
I have a good experience with them
Previously they were offering 2 types of card – titanium and platinum
Titanium for FD amount upto 49999 and Platinum for > 50000
I had opened an FD of Rs 21000 with them just top try through net banking in Dec 2011 for 380 days.
After around 10 days I received the personalized credit card at my house by courier. The credit limit was 18000.
I havent faced any issue with the card. My FD matured in Jan 2013 and I had to cancel my card in order to get the amount back to my account.
They had offered me auto renewal of the FD to enjoy the benefits of the CC, But I rejected and opted for closure of FD on maturity.
They also provide with Instant credit card – Just walk in to a branch and give application for opening an FD account, and they will give you an instant credit card. ( But it wont be with your name. Better to wait for 7-10 days for your personalised card to arrive )
Main feature is that There is No annual charges, No Proof of income required, No documents required if you are already an ICICI customer, No PAN card required if FD amount is <49999, waiver of fuel surcharge at HPCL petrol pumps + earn points and much more.
I will give 4/5 for this card .

thanks for sharing.. appreciate that..
Usr86 why you are dissatisfied with HDFC cc? Why it is useless?
I am using ICICI bank’s Sapphiro Credit card and I am more than satisfied with them.
With this card I got an ipad free not really free though which I sold to my friend.
And dealguru is absolutely correct about the FD Linked card not only ibank infact all the banks provide FD linked card without any hassle where you get card limit of 80% of your total FD.

yes, i had made cc transactions internationally – both online and offline
Interesting part is that for online transactions, it never asked for verified by master password, Just after entering the card details and clicking confirm, amount was automatically deducted when i used it to book a ticket at emirates site.
Offline i had used to purchase at Lifestyle abroad, supermarkets and Malls. It worked without a glitch !
@dealguru What will happen after completion of 1 year FD

FD automatically gets renewed
Can I add more money in fd after 80% money spending?

y r u even here ???
Depends on your transaction
Citi primer-miles is by far the best if you have heavy transaction. ( AC – 3000 rs for first year you get 10k miles = 5000 rs )
Or Stan C titanium or Manhattan
Check the cash back on card in terms of rewards points or cash and calculate in terms of Rs per 100
Citi PM gives 2 rs per 100 for any transaction and for flights it gives 5 per 100 which is the best in the industry !!! also BOGO on movie tickets at BMS
StanC – Try Manhattan CC you get 5% off on shopping in stores and then 1st year it is free… They do charge from 2nd year onwards but I have managed to get fee wavier twice by telling them that cancel my card… I am not sure if it will work for 3rd time or not
other one is StandC Mastercard, u get 5% off on utility bills…. basic one I guess it is still free for lifetime
