Hi friends,
I noticed paytm has stopped the cashbacks on most of the items. Are they going to shut down?

They are also talking to Tata for a Joint Venture if Paytm doesn’t wish to sell their MarketPlace at the price they quote.
This is the irony of the current scenario. When companies start operating at sensible pricing people predict the company to shut down
Don’t expect such insane pricing and cash backs, it will stop eventually. They are not a charity organisation to keep burning money (read as investor money) and keep offering insane deals (read as selling at loss).
no bro they are going to give cashback soon.
its temporary

May be.
But one thing for sure – As and when Alibaba launches in India, it will be a big big competition to Amazon/Fk etc etc. for sure.
This gonna rock in Indian Market. Can’t wait!
Source please?
HOLI + MARCH FINANCIAL YEAR END = NO DISCOUNTS THIS YEAR
last week paytm was giving 35% cashback on sweets which is now reduced to 15%

doubtful that Alibaba would ‘want’ to take complete control of either of their part investments in SnapD or One97, at this juncture.
agreed, that their meteoric rise has come on the backing of the U.S. listing of the stock, but like someone said
Jack Ma is a grounds up sharp guy, and the fragmented Indian mind doesn’t really favour anyone so easily.
the money they are burning via One97 for a Reliance style killer growth has a different metric.
Yes they might enter in a big way. Yes Amazon would need to re-work the strategy.
but i think still each will find some distinction of its own till next 5-6 years till the consolidation of the sector and maturity of the Indian market increases.
by the way: thanks @invisible007249 for posting the BStandard story instead of the ET write-up.
though it appeared earlier, its just a planted PR teaser http://economictimes.indiatimes.com/industry/se...

i wonder if you are even a quarter percent aware of what all OMF http://one97mobilityfun...m/ or One97 do
OR
the depth of their investments by way of time, manpower, real state warehousing, software back-ends, planning, monies and other resources that they have already committed as a group.
i thought something to do with alibaba thing.
Nope!
i think temporarily they stopped.
