Would request everyone to post the name of the seller (as written in the tax invoice) next time onwards. These sellers might have different names in different marketplaces like Shopclues, HS18, Tradus etc. But their original company name will be the same in Tax Invoice.

The item arrived well packed and the packing was undamaged. The broken fragment isn’t in the box either. I think the seller packed a broken item.
Previously had another order from the same seller, it’s good.

Update to my tupperware case:
Emailing the specifics to Customer Care was useless.

This is in regard to my order no. 59xxxxx03 dated 10 Sept. 2014 of ‘Tupperware Super Store Medium 3L’ of which I had ordered a quantity of two units from seller ‘SVS Sales’. I have received one of the item in a damaged state on 15th September. The jar is broken near the lid and hence the lid does not seal the jar. I would like to have that specific unit replaced. Please guide me through the return procedure. The option to return the item from the orders page does not allow me to return one single unit, it only allows me to return the whole order.

Mukul has initiated return for the whole order.
Emailed them for clarification whether I am to return one unit or the entire order of two units. Lets see whether Mukul understands my situation after I’ve specified it thrice. Lagta hain poora order (both units) return karna padega.

EDIT: Got the following reply today:

CONCLUSION:

• Paytm has no replacement policy for BREAKAGE/ DEFECTS.
• Orders of multiple units are considered as a single order and have to be returned entirely even if only one unit is defective.

Update about this return:
I had emailed Paytm CC saying that I would like to have the wrongly sent item replaced with the correct item I originally ordered.
Got the same generic email as above. The return has been initiated. They’re going to pickup the item and refund the amount into my Paytm account.
Sent them this email in return:

Will I receive the correct item as a replacement? I want the correct item I ordered.

I bought the item at Rs. 994 with Rs 537 cashback with LOCK65 discount. The discount is no longer available.

It is unfair to entice customers by offering a ‘discount’ and purposely send a cheaper product to force the customer to return it, making him buy the correct item at non-discounted price since the discount is no longer active. You are effectively conning the customer into purchasing something at a higher price than he originally intended,

I do not know whether this is the modus operandi of the seller ‘LOCK & LOCK’ (RAJPRABHU TRADERS PVT LTD) or whether it is a flaw in Paytm’s terms of service, but it reflects poorly on Paytm, and will discourage me from using Paytm for shopping in the future, and might cause customers to actively discourage friends and family from using the apparently fraudulent website.

Please ensure that I get the correct item as replacement.

I’m not very hopeful of getting a reply though. Dekhte hain, getting a full refund wouldn’t be unfair either, but getting the right item would be really nice.

However, seller took 9 days to ship the product, courier took another 2 days for delivery.
Item was well packed

Now for the bombshell: Seller has specified NO RETURN POLICY for this product
(I forgot to check policy details before I placed the order, luckily don’t have to return the item)

Got cashback immediately on delivery (unusual for COD orders) and the Paytm website/ App doesn’t show any RETURN button. Luckily I don’t have to return the item anyway. But please keep an eye on return policies in the future before buying.

I think if someone faced issues or got defective items then should kindly post a pic of the defect too. Because of the mixed bag sellers all are confused.

Return period is dictated by the return policy. It’s not affected in case you automatically get cashback (which usually happens with pre-paid orders). If you manually claim cashback, however, you forfeit the ability to return. I’ve returned two items successfully after getting cashback (which came automatically).
Just for surety, take screenshots of the page, especially the part mentioning the return policy (10 days in your case)

The seller doesn’t seem to be reputed/in the list so was just curious about it.

They’d take open pieces right? Also, refund will be back to bank account or paytm cash?

Check with customer service if the returns policy allows returning after tamper-proof seals are opened. Wasn’t an issue in my case.
Refunds are ordinarily given in Paytm Cash, although I think some people have got refunds back to bank account on request.

I bought Sony MDR-V55 just now from Toduprice, the price i.e 2400 odd after cashback is unbelievable. I’ll let you guys updated about how it goes
