Hi,
I was thinking of buying Whey protein. The rates on neulife are much higher than whats being sold online. How can we be sure of the authenticity of the online products? I have shortlisted the following two on snapdeal
http://www.snapdeal.com/product/on-100-whey-gol…

OR

http://www.snapdeal.com/product/dymatize-iso-10…

Please suggest should I buy from these sellers or not and if anyone has any idea which protein would be better for a leaner look. Thanks

Go for Muscleblaze whey protein . Its good and protein/ serving is also equivalent to ON and other products. I tried it and its good.

It is indeed wise to buy protein powders online because of the price difference.

BUT you have to buy from a trusted site like HealthKart. Sites that work on a marketplace model like Snapdeal can’t always be trusted because of the scores of unscrupulous sellers plaguing these sites. This is especially true for somebody like you who is new to consuming/purchasing protein powders online. A regular protein powder consumer would have never asked this question in the first place. https://cdn1.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_smile.gif

BTW, I have been consuming protein powders regularly for years, so I have taken the risk of buying from Amazon and PayTM as well. You see, I have learned to distinguish fake from original. So my suggestion to you would be to buy from HealthKart and once you learn what’s real then you can try to (perhaps) save even more by buying during promotions from marketplace sites like Amazon or PayTM.

Update: Check PM.

But in India buying protein powders is risky even if bought from reputed offline shops(you might end up getting flavored atta instead {not even fake protein powders:lol: })

Agree 100%!

I once ran out of protein powder late in the night while traveling on business. I did not want to break my macro ratios so I bought a “Macho..something” brand from a local pharmacy because none of the imported brands were available in any of the pharmacies I visited. 1Kg for about 1200 bucks. Although the price seemed a little low, I convinced myself that it was low because I was buying an Indian brand. On the first use itself, I could tell it was nothing more than finely milled sugar powder with rose flavor, although the box said Chocolate flavor. https://cdn3.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_lol.gif

Completely broke my macro ratios. The worst thing was I couldn’t even return the fake powder because I went out of that town the same night. Needless to say, those 1200 bucks literally went down the drain.

BTW, were you inspired from my userid when choosing yours?

Recently bought Muscleblaze ISOLATE from healthkart, and it tastes so bad like some medicine. nothing like chocolate favor, i think healthkart is also selling fake proteins.

Sorry for resurrecting this old topic but it’s informative.

It happens from brand to brand. Most Isolates taste like medicine. I bought Scitec Whey Pro and it tastes like medicine too. Got habituated after a week. All matters to me is the end result. I had used Muscleblaze Whey and it tastes very much like mlk powder and the effect was not very impressive either. I had better results from Tara whey pro and it’s ‘way’ cheaper too.

As a matter of fact just received my first jar of Muscleblaze Pro7 and tasted for impression. It tasted like one of the worst proteins I have ever tasted. The worst was two vegan proteins I tasted. God help vegans if that is what they have to deal with and Muscleblaze Pro7 is just behind. Just launched and got the 2 Kg jar for 2k only now have to suffer. The work around for bad tasting supplements that I found useful is having them in chilled water, put as much ice as you can have. Wishing for better results than it’s taste.

BB offers are the real loot. Even with import duty and shipping charges they are way cheaper than here.
