Peppertap Payumoney refund query

Hi all,
Made an order from peppertap, amount payable after peppercash and discount was 150.
To avail cashback I paid through payumoney and got 10% cashback Rs 15.
Now my order total changed by 0.85 and peppertap has initiated a refund of that in payumoney.
So I will lose that 15 if I’m not wrong, any way to avoid it?
Or just laugh at the situation…

@avgn No, you will not lose the cashback. PayUMoney has started adjusting the cashback for any refunds on a prorated basis. So if the refund was for 85 paise, they will deduct 8 or 9 paise from the cashback.

but paytm deducted the cashback from the partial refund i got from foodpanda. and mobikwik also does same, they deducted full cashback, chahe refund partial hi kyuu na ho

Thanks man
So payumoney seems to be better than Paytm in this regard.
Paytm straight away removes the cashback entry from wallet statement
i can’t understand clearly what u said in detail, but, i can give u an example…
lets say ur final bill amt after coupon/etc is 200
paying via payu will get u 10% cb, i.e. 20 rs,
now, if ur order is cancelled, fully, then, u will get a refund of 180 finally (making ur payu wallet as 200), whereas peppertap will say that they have refunded for full 200 amount. (and ur cb will be reversed)
if 100 rs of ur order is cancelled, u will be refunded 100 from peppertap, but it will show 90 only, and 10 will be deducted as cb reversal

Yes, Paytm (and perhaps Mobikwik as well) still lack this essential customer-friendly feature. I think the reason behind this absurd policy was to prevent people from ordering and returning items just to get the cashback. But now that companies like Peppertap do automatic refunds based on the cost difference at the time of the purchase/procurement (which is superb BTW), the wallets with cashback feature ought to follow PayU’s way of prorated adjustments in the cashback.

Update : Payumoney refunded 0.85 to CC
And no cashback amount was deducted. Not even 9 paise

That’s strange! Perhaps because the amount was less than 1 rupee. A little earlier today, I received an automatic refund of 25.7 for my Peppertap order (which is a superb feature!). My wallet shows a cashback reversal of 2.57 with the same timestamp.
I should point out that I paid for the Peppertap order using the existing money in my wallet while you seem to have paid directly via a CC at the time of the transaction. That could be another possible reason.
