What is net neutrality??

In simpler meaning, you pay for 250 for 3G 1GB data & you are free to browse any website you want & how much you want.

What telecom operators want??
You pay rs 250 for 3G 1GB data
+ extra rs for using whatsapp
+ extra rs for using Facebook
+ extra for using Google search or Viber or similar apps.

If you don’t want this to happen with you & you favour net neutrality kindly open the above link and sign the petition on change.org

I’m all up for signing any petition in favor of net neutrality but the sad truth is that it’s not going to make any difference to the corporates or the people making decisions at TRAI. A decision will only be taken in the interest of business. It was absolutely amazing how people responded in social media against dual pricing of VOIP plans. We are aready paying very high charges for 3g. Unfortunately in spite of charging hefty fees, these telcos are hardly investing any money to upgrade the quality of their existing 3g network. Vodafone 3g sucks so bad in delhi. I hardly get 30 Kbps during peak hours when the same connection maxes out at 18 mbps during early morning hours. Looks like vodafone wants me to remain awake during night to use their 3g.

I am using Idea and Airtel 3G and believe me both of them sucks ! Even if I get H+ sign in Airtel with full bars, hardly it opens anything. When you are travelling and you are out of your home, none of the operators will come handy for u and it gets so irritating. Inside the home, yes you get speed but that is also not consistent. Seeing such a poor speed, I find even 150 expensive . Take any damm network and I bet none of them will provide you consistency. By consistency , I mean that take your phone anywhere and you get 2 mbps speed without the need of reconnecting.

Completely agree. I’m on a vodaone red4business corporate plan with 4 GB 3g data quota. I was not even able to use half of it at last month due to pathetic speeds. You are absolutely right when you talk about slow speeds during travel. I communte between delhi and gurgaon on daily basis. Speed are so poor. During evening hours it gets so irritating with speeds dropping to as low as 1 kbps.Last month i lodged a formal complaint with vodafone in this regard. Instead of adrressing the issue, they sent me a form to fill. As per the form, i’m supposed to point out the location where i’m getting low speeds. There might be nearly 50 towers or more between south delhi and gurgaon. Vodafone is still in denial to accept the fact that their 3g network in delhi sucks.

Network problem (don’t know about 3G speed problem) can get solved if your complaint is regarding your home . But while travelling, you cannot pin-point particular locations. The worst thing is that there is no one to regulate the massive 3G rates . If you charge massive, you should give reasonable speed also. I usually travel Del-Mumbai-Pune . I get full 3G networks but rarely any speed. I once thought the problem is with my phone. You cannot trust any network wherever you are living . At some places, Idea will be good and at some places Vodafone but you will not get same speeds with same network everywhere. Tested with all major networks in major metro cities.

in my area(lucknow),all 2g network sucks except idea…& have only idea 3g which is awesome….it always gives an average speed of nearly 2 mbps and sometimes increases to 4mbps…..its 2g internet gives 100-200 kbps which is quite good……happy with it
