You will find much better deals on estores with better specs. The processor is ‘low current version’ and dual core NOT quadcore. For that price you will get much better specs, I think Paytm has a on going sale on laptops too(if you are comfortable with them).

We can’t get warranty from dell if we buy from paytm and amazon. I will check about dual or quad code processor.

Hi buddy! Can you please explain how is the processor low current version, as per OP’s description, its i7 and that too 7th generation processor.

I’m myself looking for a good deal on laptop (i5 or i7). Any expert insight would help.

Thanks smile

I can’t say with confidence but if Dell is offering it as part of the product registering your online will give you the same benefit. Additional warranty can also be purchased later.

Not sure if anything has changed in the recent additional warranty by DELL. Couple of years back when I tried to claim the additional warranty they told me that it would only cover labour and not cost of parts. Make sure you read the T&Cs so that you are not taken for a ride.

Yes the ‘additional warranty’ has too many clause. Doesn’t cover parts, the most expensive thing you have to incur.

Cant see graphic card in ur specfication.. graphics card is v v imp , u need a good graphic card not the intel one..if the price is without a good graphic card then it is v v high, buying i5 with a good graphic card is better than buying i7. Without a good graphic card forget gaming, forget graphic intensive application, and u might have problem viewing high quality video

I disagree with you on so many levels :p
graphic card is not very important!!! if you are doing graphic intensive work then buy a desktop and the laptop graphics are mostly not very powerful if you want a laptop with good graphics be ready to shell out more than 80k
and then there comes the heating issue
one more thing
the 7th gen i7’s inbuilt graphics can handle most of the new games on low to med settings
and can manage pre 2014 games on high settings
and it can handle graphics intensive work very well
LAST THING
if you dont know about the particular thing then please stop spreading fake bullshit as it misguides the person better keep your mouth shut
ENJOY smile

BRO if you can that big of a budget better buy a laptop from ASUS ROG Series
and ASUS is also giving ADP with the rog series for 2 years
(DONT BUY MSI)
altough DELL is good but they mostly ship with Radeon (AMD)
which i personally dont like and they Heat tooooooo much
better buy a laptop with nvidia GPU,960 is good for most of the games if you want to game
if not then you can buy a laptop from the Lenovo Think pad series (model no should start with “T”, “E” series might seem cheap but they are just rebranded ideapad)
the Think will cost you 65k upwards but believe me bro its built like a tank and they also provide 3 years warranty, best Keyboard (ask anyone the thinkpads have best keyboard )
,Gorgeous Display, Fast wifi etc, these laptops are used is offices mostl

Nah. That has not been the case since a long, long time. Even good old Haswell could handle 4k30 H.264 just fine. Hell even the newer Atom series can do that just fine(thanks to Fixed-Function hardware units). The 7th Gen. low power parts can handle 4k H.265 as well. Even the very demanding madVR is a possibility at 1080p or simple 4k streams. Even Core 2 Duo with its awful, awful iGPU could just abt handle 1080p H.264(minor frame drops, but not enough to detract from the viewing experience) And integrated GPUs can play lots of older games and many of the latest Indie ones just fine. The problem with Intel GPUs is not perf but the drivers. Low-end discrete GPUs do not provide a sufficient boost in perf over iGPU and only serve to drain the battery. Only folks looking to play hardcore games at the highest visual settings or content-creation should bother with a (decent)discrete GPU. But for the price that OP is paying a discrete GPU should have been part of the package. Could even skimp on the RAM unless Virtualization or Photoshop and equivalent applications are the target.

Graphics card not only improves graphics but takes the load of processing graphics on it’s own shoulders and hence the processor is releaved to perform the rest calculations giving the system a huge performance boost.

Excellent choice. Does that comes with 3D screen? A friend has that laptop with 3D and I love watching 3D movies on a laptop and playing CS:GO and Crysis in 3D. smile

@srini1973 All the power of the CPU and DDR4 RAM will be drowned by a 5400 rpm disk. Go for an SSD, even 240 / 256 GB is good enough, will cost you about 4-5k more than the hard disk drive, but you will see significant performance improvement and extended battery life. You would most probably already have portable hard drives for storing videos…

IT used to come with two 750GB 7200rpm HDDs. Confirm that too, you can replace one with a SSD later.

Ofcourse thats true but I was only addressing the part about playback of high definition video which is totally not true. And has not been for quite a long while now. I mean even the no name Android TV boxes can now handle 4k H.265! 10-bit by NOT leveraging the GPU but the separate Fixed-Function hardware decoders and encoders.

SVA stands for Standard Viewing Angle which implies TN (LCD)panel. 99.9% TN panels are absolute crap. They cant even display the full sRGB colour gamut let alone modern ones like Adobe RGB or DCI-P3. Piss-poor contrast and most importantly very poor viewing angles. And its a GLOSSY display. Forget abt viewing anything on the screen if there is any background light source. If you value display quality in the slightest extent get one with IPS/PLS panel or equivalent(VA) . To give a few examples Asus Zenbook UX305 and later, Dell XPS 13/15(2015) and later. I wont recommend the Apple Macbook Pro And the Macbook due their exorbitant prices and form-over-function philosophy.
P.S. I dont understand why HP is not providing Gigabit(1Gbps) Ethernet(LAN). My old HP Pavilion laptop from 2008 has it. HP must really be in need of the $5 thus saved.

Can u suggest some specific models or brand which offer better display.
I was actually impressed by the specification of the hp model but the display as explained by you is not good.
Any specific model with similar specs and better display not exceeding my budget would be really great.
