Buddy go for connections online seller. No need to a give a second though. I have experienced it twice. They are too fast in their service. They have changed their user name, earlier they were in the name “DTH India”. After ordering they would call you and book appointment as per your comfort.
Should we pay anything else to the person who comes for installation….Other than Tip.
For Tata Sky, you never have to pay in case to the service person. All transactions to be made by recharging your Tata Sky account, be it service charge or charge for extra cable.
Go for Videocon – provides maximum channels at cheapest price with good customer support team.

….Right now using 3 set top box at my home paying roughly around 380 rs per tv set…
….The problem is we have stories and 5 tv sets and all companies say they can allow 2 tv set per floor….

Don’t ever go for Dishtv
worst and non cooperative customer support team.
They increase the prices or exclude some channels from your packs without letting you know. I have their 3 connections. but that was my bad luck that I choose them..

1) Local Review – Surrounding Neighbors etc.
2) Take HD Tata Sky Box, but you can recharge with SD Packs Also…(NOT Available in any other DTH Provider-afaik)
3) Fast Browsing between channels(Important) – Than all brands..
4) Local dealers and local service available.

Everybody is saying TataSky has fast UI,browising between channels is faster than any other DTH provider,
I have a doubt on this,around few months back Tatasky upgraded MPEG4 boxes free of cost taking back the old set top box(normal-sd).
The old one was very very fast,the new set top box is small & light but very slow,it take 2-3 seconds to switch between channels or menu options,complained few times but their executives says its with every set top box,can anyone tell me if its the case with everybody?

OMG…no one talked about this.
Let make up differences between Tata Sky and Videocon.
1) Videocon has USB option to record tv.
2) Upgrade to 4K in future is a available. Don’t know about Tata sky.
Pls add up.
And Videcon remote looks attractive than Tata Sky.
Been using tata sky (SD) from around 3 years, Earlier it was very fast but from the past 6 months it has become very very slow. Sometimes It takes like effin 5 seconds for the menu to pop up. Haven’t ventured into any other brands but cousins in rajkot are using videcon and are happy with it. Videocon’s pros are cheaper channel packages. Recently got a call from tata sky team stating they are offering replacement for our old set top box with new HD set top box with 1month free dhamaal package + HD fee for 1 month for 1100.
