55 Inches and above TV’s are very expensive in India due to low demand and they are also taxed to death.See If you can manage to get one from Dubai/Bangkok. Should be much cheaper there.

I have been using a VU 40 inches TV. I couldn’t have been more happier with VU. Clarity is excellent for the price paid.

Coming to your query, I have not demoe’d VU 65 inch TV, so cannot comment on the clarity aspect. Certain multi brand retail stores such as Chroma may have VU tv on display. I would suggest you to demo the TV well before taking the plunge.

If you are going for VU , ensure to take 2 years extended warranty. Should cost you ~ 10k.

Go for vu. Bought 55 n buying 65.

which one is better in these sets

http://www.flipkart.com/vu-102cm-40-full-hd-led...

http://www.flipkart.com/vu-102cm-40-ultra-hd-4k...

its all upon reqs bro. can u share in detail reqs so that i can help u out.

i need to give it to sister’s wedding … so need better one

(i have posted over here coz it would be helpful for others and kind of my review for vu tv)

advance congo bro.
well in that case u really need to think whether the in laws wont mind this brand. im saying this becoz u know why. its all about repo. vu is upcoming but not an established brand like samsung, sony, lg and all in view of common ppl.

if the above is is not an issue then u can go ahead with vu which is worth the value in the current market & need to think of few aspects as to which fits ur req.
1. buy appropriate size for the hall/room. coz too small or too large would not be suitable. u need to measure the length between the tv and the ppl sitting.
2. there are no 4k channels via dth. only few are of FHD (1920×1080/1080p) like colors and few more i guess and around 50+ are HD (1280×720/720p). so imo going for 4k (3840 × 2160/2160p) is not recommended right now until and unless u plan to download 4k videos which are huge vol files 10-15 gb +
3. the speakers work well on dth but via files like playing via usb its not so great. u need home theatre.
4. the vu os is not that great compared to bravia/micromax and others but u can enhance via addons like chromecast and all
5. u can find the actual diff between hd/fhd & 4k as the size of the screen grows. incase of vu55 im able to find these diffs when u observe closely but when ur are at suitable distance viewing sitting position, u cant make huge diff.
6. u need to see the service center whether its available in the location whether it would be used so as to avoid hassles just in case.
7. better buy 2 years extended warranty from vutv site.
8. as per ur budget which is 40k i would suggest to go for Vu 122cm (48) Full HD Smart LED TV
http://www.flipkart.com/vu-122cm-48-full-hd-sma...
which i believe is good for the next 5 years till the FHD and 4k channels become available easily and the no. would also increase.
but pls chk the size and the viewing distance of ur hall/room before going ahead.
9. i hope in laws have atleadt HD dth orlese it would be not worth to go for above as the SD channels would look worst on the screen.
10. 4k is worth if ur going for 55-65+
11. youtube works good but opera tv store is not good.

pls do let me know if u need any further help.

also tagging few experts who have bought vu 40-50" . their feedback would be definitely helpful coz ur going for the same size.
