I have been a part of the community for quite a while now and finally had to do this since I didn’t had no choice. I have ordered a lot of products at price errors and though, half of them were delivered and the remaining half didn’t, I thought of sharing this simply newbie friendly trick which will help in getting the products ordered at price errors delivered.
So, whats’ the trick? Its pretty simple! And especially for the newbies!
Firstly, do NOT call the customer care of the website for support. Couldn’t place your order? Ask your friends on DD.
The order has not been dispatched? Chill out a bit and wait some more time for delivery.
Order got cancelled? Do NOT get greedy and call support asking for compensation. Are you even serious? There are tons of more people who ordered it whose order have not got cancelled yet, if you call them, they will cancel everyone’s order and forget compensation, they might even block your account for misusing the loopholes.
That was the first method to get the PE products delivered. Now, the second trick, this is for the hi-tech coders and professional looters who have been into this thing for long, a simple tip is NOT to order unlimited quantities of the product. Trust me, it sounds funny but I have seen people doing it. I saw someone ordering 25 portable hard disks when they were on price error for somewhere around Rs.500. What did he think while placing the order? The seller will seriously deliver 25 quantities of the same item for the price error? No way! Simply IMPOSSIBLE.
So, don’t get too greedy when you see such errors, order one for yourself and another one maximum for your family at some different address. That’s it! If you try to order more, you are decreasing your chances as well as other people’s chances to receive the item at that price.
Finally, use some common sense depending upon what kind of deal it is and follow the comments posted by the senior dimers since they know how everything works and they would mostly advise for your advantage! Like the most recent Mobikwik shopclues loot, two expert senior dimers mentioned not to keep any amount left in your Mobikwik wallets, but hardly anyone read what he was explaining, his post got ignored and then everyone realized it was way too late!

Have you seen his bucket full of Redmi 1S screenguards? Why do you think that Amazon won’t deliver when Flipkart can deliver 100s of those SGs and Philips pizza-cum-movie vouchers?

How will they help? You won’t be changing the screen guard of your phone everyday, I bought one six months back and I am still using the same one. I respect those dimers for finding some amazing deals and sharing them with us, also for helping a lot of other dimers in getting deals but I would have to disagree this time since buying a ton of them won’t really help. Vouchers, they’re fine upto a limit where the system is automatic and you will get the coupons instantly but again if you buy too many of them, all your coupons could get blocked anytime and then you just keep waiting for an apology email along with some refund.
Hence, the best way is to keep the number of orders per person low to keep the chances of the delivery high. The more you order, the lesser your chances are of receiving the product.

Damn! They’re making a business out of DD. This would degrade the quality of the forum and will badly affect the users as if these people exploit them so bad whenever there’s a price error or coupon loot, they will face huge amount of losses and will be more careful next time while bringing such offers compared to if only a few people ordered it.

Whether it will degrade the quality of the forum or not is anybody’s guess. I don’t agree.
Your last point is almost invalid. They may do these things intentionally to clear old stocks or may have other ulterior motives. Otherwise what’s the job of system testers of these sites? The cat-n-mouse game will continue.

Damn! True that. But I have seen generally the companies being looted most of the times and its hardly a few times when it works the other way round. The dimers are smart enough to find out the difference and especially senior ones like you whom I have seen commenting that its a trap and the site is trying to clear their stocks reading which half of them people already part their ways from the deal and the remaining few still find it worth paying for and go ahead.

Looks like you misunderstood it, you’re a senior dimer. Other senior dimers who have a lot of experience into this can identify the deals which look like the company is trying to get rid of its old stock and then comment that on the thread that its a trap to get the old stuff out of their warehouses to aware newbies that the stuff which they’re purchasing could be out of fashion.

Criticism does suck but constructive criticism never does! And this is what I love about @dimepincher . He’s full of info and never stays behind in sharing his opinion openly, he doesn’t care about any hatred and freely voices his opinion. And he shared some really cool info about the resellers taking over DD which many newbies don’t have any idea about, even I myself didn’t knew about it. I thought once in a while it was fair enough but they trying to snatch every deal and making out a business of it is really messed up!

That’s a myopic view. In the last couple of years of my stay in DD, I have appreciated so many views & topics.
Moreover, commenting on a topic doesn’t mean countering the view. Sometimes comments are made to enrich the contents or to show other side of the story which OP may have missed or is unaware of.
