What is Personal / Non-Personal on A Public Forum?
When DD admins find something to be beyond their capacity to approach or resolve, they just lock the thread instead of trying to increase their capacity to understand and respond. Though this is quite welcome in case of threads meant to incite political / religious controversies, I don’t understand the reason behind the locking of this thread: http://www.desidime.com/forums/dost-and-dimes/t...
Moreover, previously, we could see a lock icon in the title along with a message “thread locked” for such threads and it would not allow us even to click on the reply button. But now no such notification is available and we can even go to the reply box. It’s only when we submit the reply (after all the typing) that we get to know that the thread is locked. Is this really a better version of DD? 
So, I paste here the reply I wanted to post there but couldn’t. I do this because I consider this is a very important issue to be addressed by all of us together including @admin

I wonder how @admin allows this at all. This is the most derogatory personal remark that one can pass on a public forum. Whereas I got branded as a “target-er” when all I did was write some funny comments about people (even my off-the-limit vocabulary was not meant to offend anyone in particular). RIP Maturity!

AFAIK him (DS) and have interacted with him, he doesn’t even need to browse DD or something for deals and discounts,
It’s DD’s fate that we have got such guy between us who is always ready to help others !!!

Thanks for bringing in the lock icon. But I’m still able to go till the reply box when I hit “Reply to This Thread”. It needs to be blocked as well. Please fix this as well.
