Wanted to buy but then decided to stick to my old favorites, the Funskool jeeps (my kid & assorted nephews love these)
Off-topic: The Funskool jeeps (and Viking Toys cars/jeeps/etc) are simply awesome. They can withstand a great deal of really rough handling (from kids)

a) Manually checking 11 different sites
b) Checking the first 10 result pages in Google when step (a) gives less than 5 results

I’m not talking about suggestions. This topic and the one I mentioned have enough suggestions, so there’s no real difference between the two as far as that point is concerned.

The seller Okay Enterprises has a total of 340 products listed, out of which only 6-7 have the best prices (based on the topics that have been posted). Now in this case, others found those 6-7 deals, not the OP.

Similarly, in that other topic, the OP mentioned 50 products and maybe out of them 20-25 products were excellent deals. So, why in that case it is the responsibility of the OP to find out which ones are the best and not in this one? Merely because of a coupon?

@dexter1989 I am not sure how you interpreted what i said, all i wanted to communicate is that deals is not promoted only by looking at the numbers of suggestions. We gave reasoning box, so that every one can give their view as what makes that particular deal special, and why it should be promoted to home page. And those comments only helps us to evaluate deals. If users finds someone did an good effort then they can give karma instead of suggesting deals.

by comments or by suggestions.

going by comments, what will help us to understand a deal, VU , VU for effort etc… or if someone will come and say out of 50 products price of this one is good.

going by suggestions, by the time you came up with additional 20% coupon more than half of the suggestions were already in. So none actually knew that deals is sweeter with the additional discount.

I agree with you. It’s not possible to do that, just like it’s not possible for us to provide price comparisons for all those deals. I’m also not saying that such deals should be promoted everyday.

But one of your mods did come across that so you can’t say you didn’t notice it. Surely just glancing at the prices on offer after the 20% discount was mentioned would’ve been enough to see that there were some great deals. That deal could’ve been promoted at that point, right? In my opinion, the deal didn’t get the exposure it deserved. It’s really unfair to ignore it merely because many users suggested it without even checking.

It’s high time that you start taking action against such things. You can see vote ups in the form of green faces and suggestions in the notification panel, then why do people have to comment voted up and stuff like that? Furthermore, some users keep tagging you or keep bumping topics with comments like “price not good?”, “Why is this not an FPD”, etc and they do this for deals from the previous day. This causes all the other deals to be pushed down to the 2nd or 3rd page which not many users check. In this case, should we also indulge in the same tactics to get exposure?
