I have received the TV, and during installation, to my dismay found that GEETA ELECTRONICS, HYDERABAD had shipped a defective piece.
The import important part, the LED panel has 3 black vertical lines – which is visible & noticeable at all times.
A quick internet search revealed that this actually means the panel is failing and will completely go kaput in few months.
Possibly the seller shipped somebody else’s returned product!!
I have raised an exchange request with snapdeal, and they have assured speedy resolution.
However, snapdeal is no flipkart so I am extremely anxious…
Can anybody tell me how defective products are handled by snapdeal?

Further updates: AOC asking me to approach SNAPDEAL and SNAPDEAL asking me go to AOC, while I am stuck in between with my money down the drain. Their sellers are cheat scoundrels and SNAPDEAL trustpay is a scam. My 2 cents for those who still wants to buy high value items from SNAPDEAL.
Its upto AOC that has to provide service for you now, As you have warranty covered under 3 years Manufacture’s warranty. So contact AOC, they have good onsite service. There engineer will visit to your place within 24hours. Below are there contact details, get in touch with them.

Meanwhile after lambasting SNAPDEAL CEO in an open letter, they agreed to do a reverse pickup.
Let’s see what happens – I’m already screwed with 30K down the drain, so it cannot get any worse…

Don’t worry, your money will come back to you. Just don’t give the time to snapdeal(in case they say to wait for xx hours.), be in touch with them, & keep them reminding about you’re issue. So it will get shorted ASAP.
