I assume this actually works and youre not just kidding? If its possible, I’d simply tell them I bought this card for online use but it turned out to be offline only. Hence the new card being paid for by old one.

All the three times I got the card within a week. These were sold by GCI. Although T&C said it’s a retail card., but they will send CORPORATE CARD which works online too (I got same card three times).
Unlike on AMAZON, GCI takes care of activation if you buy through them. With the card you receive they will give a card which contains GCI email id. Send an email to that email & card activation is done in two days. Or else you can also ping ur Card number through Chat option on their website.

Guilty. I do give up if I don’t get treated atleast half decently. But not as easily as you assumed I think. My issues with paytm have been no less than a month long nightmare trying to get my money (5k) back for an item they sent me incorrectly. Their Customer service is non existing with robotic replies for all my queries. After 3 weeks I contacted them on twitter. A day later I got the response on twitter saying "return is cancelled and you can keep the products. Thanks! ".
I couldn’t believe it when I read that. Tell me that won’t make your blood boil. I can keep the product? They didn’t just refused to accept return after continously telling me it’ll be picked up and refunded, they actually gave me “permission” to keep the item I already paid for and didnt even order in the first place. How generous of them!
Only after involving @vijayshekhar in my response asking what kind of con game he is running with paytm did I get my money back (within 10 minutes too!). Or atleast most of it. Had bought a few accessories too with the item which were now useless for me so returned those as well. They picked it up and again no refund for 2 weeks. Again emails got me robotic replies promising to help ans say a lot of words without actually conveying nothing et al. Had to ask them for my own money back on twitter before it could be refunded to me.
Then the final straw was groupon deal. They refused the cash back (not sticking to their word but I could understand) and refused the refund too. That I couldn’t accept. Not that 400 bucks was a big deal. I’ve easily made/saved 20x as much money via paytm alone in these last few months.
This was me. Who was willing to keep at it until I got my money back. I can only imagine what happens to others who simply can’t have the knowledge or the time to fight for their money. Paytm is just going to loot those customers. Mistakes I can forgive. Refusing to accept their mistakes once they find out about it and making them right is something I can’t.
And to make matters worse, people actually did get the 550 cashback from paytm for the groupon deal. Including me who got the refund already after I asked for the account to be closed. if only the twitter guy said they’re not sure and look into it and get back to me once they get their shit together, it would have never escalated to this level. Can’t stand clueless idiots pretending to act as if they know everything.
Similarly with axis bank. Its been over 2 weeks since I paid. Took over 10 days to deliver and it’s been another week. I’ve called axis who asked me to mail their gift card division, who then asked me to contact seller, who never responded so contacted amazon, who routed me towards giftbig who once again asked me to mail them instead. And yet the card doesn’t work even after 5 days of doing all that. So no, this is simply not worth the teouble to me. I blocked my money for 2 weeks and counting, spent over 2 hours with cc care reps and now have to wait another “x” number of weeks before it gets resolved. I you still think I gave up easily then maybe I did. Guess that’s my limit. Especially for a net saving of 100 bucks. I’d like to (atleast) imagine my time is worrh more than that :-p

I hear you, bro. When I moved back to India (after living in the US for almost a decade), I initially used to complain, make a big deal about such stupidity and lack of professionalism, and sulk about such things. But then I learned to manage my expectations.
I learned that it’s all about setting your expectations right. I would have gone batshit crazy and would have never started a business here if I didn’t learn that.

Card is active I can use it on pos terminal , I also registered with VBV successful , but at time online use I can not complete transaction , every time getting error “Bank declined transaction”
agree on the thoughts about managing expectations @DealSeeker brother. Moreover, some people have a desposition to not notice or not get affected by the peculiarities being discussed. So either one goes on to hurt oneself feeling this is not right, what have i got myself into. OR, let that inner self be aware that look buddy, this is how it is going to be. And am no Gandhi out to dn radical change. Ofcourse, sheer corruption or fraud apart, its better.. As you said, to prepare ourselves for what is to hapen. And the longer one stays in a different enviornment, the more difficult it is to adapt back. As i said i went to branch and asked them to activate the card. They contacted prepaid cards team internally. I got a call from Axis Bank on Saturday asking my Amazon Order number to fetch the amount,email id, phone number. Card got activated today morning and got a confirmation call from Axis whether its activated or not ( to close their internal ticket i guess.)

Why should there be different activation procedures for different orders?
If they start doing this, they’ll send future orders without activating card.

I went to my branch here, and the guy had no idea and kept on asking me to contact seller regardless of my arguments, I felt worthless arguing and said nothing, Just left from there and Filed AtoZ claims for all of my cards !!!
Still no answer from them, Let’s see what happens !!!
