However even at 50hz the active scan is much better than most of the iconic brands, also the power consumption is just 57 watts compared to well over 200 Watts for others, one downer is no support for pc input and only 1 hdmi, 1 usb port which can be increased by putting aftermarket stuff though.
Even at very low levels of contrast, brightness and sharpness and colour the TV gives out the most natural colours.
The sound output for a std def set top is also top notch.
We were at Croma for an LED TV, where samsung and Bravia puts unbeleivable levels of brightness and contrast due to some coating on the inner edge of the panel. However its great to grab attention in the showroom, where brands like Vu and Croma give out untrue hues and shades, only sharp and our homegrown videocon had natural colurs within the range around 30k.
When tweaked for home viewing conditions this TV along with videocon mirage is around 15-20 k cheaper than top of the line stuff.I am not sure how much 150W advantage affects the electricity bills however the lesser the better. Even with dishtv std def it brings out pictures really well. Not missing hd content, and even watched many 1080p stuff via usb there is no moton blur or delay or anything, colours come out very punchy and very natural skin tones. Happy with the purchase along with stabiliser and 1 year additional warranty from Croma, also worth mentioning is that the panel is completely manufactured in Japan
