It depends upon your printing load each month. Usually such cartridges are guaranteed by company to have a shelf life of 3 years from packaging. You can see use before date on each of these…

Your printer uses Ink Tank: PG-47 (Black) , CL-57 (Tricolour)

Only tricolour cartridge was available at discount but now its OOS…

Black cartridge for your printer is not under discount…..
