Guys please help me. My brother was having airtel postpaid in the month of October 2015. He did not use the sim for anything. But we got a bill of ₹1400. Now they are calling and saying to pay the bill otherwise they will file a case. Will they file or not?

Next time they call you: Tell them you haven’t used your mobile and the charges are incorrect, go file the case in court and you will sue them back in consumer court. You will stop receiving such calls. They scare people trying to get as much money as they can, some get scared, some scare them back! 
Source: Personal experience with Airtel. Had an outstanding amount of 3.2k which the bill was generated after the request of cancellation of my BB services.
Got few calls regarding the outstanding, than a call from a lawyer ( don’t know if he actually was) that he will file a case, I said do it asap. They send me a notice that they are filing the case, I print out a meme from internet and send the same with the lawyer notice via speed post to his address, nobody called me after that.

Airtel is recovering their losses which was made by jio😂😂😂😁😁
