With Standard Fireworks as partners, Fhatake is taking Diwali hyperlocal with next-day cracker deliveries
The company claims to offer, through the app and website, a wider variety of fireworks than offline stores at a discount of 80 per cent of MRP rates.
WEB : http://fhatak...m/
APP : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=c...
Fhatake currently operates in two delivery hubs around south Bengaluru – JP Nagar, Jayanagar, Banerghatta and Central Bangalore — Koramangla and Indiranagar.

…To my knowledge bursting of any cracker by private individuals is illegal in the U.S. and you can be arrested if found in possession or indulging in their detonation.
…
Nah, bro. Except for NJ, NY, DE, and MA, all of the other states allow consumer fireworks (3-4 other states are a little stricter on what is allowed). I personally participated in a private fireworks celebration by a frat house in PA — no control.
It is illegal in Illinois too (as I have been told) one of the states where I stayed for a long time. Never asked directly to a police officer. Never also saw anybody openly bursting a cracker in Chicago. The rules are strictly followed in the big cities. Might be a bit lax for isolated suburban locations.
IL is one of those states with a little stricter rules. See this article: http://gizmodo.com/which-fireworks-are-legal-in...

@sidbhai, it is possible to share your feelings without freely indulging on the 4-letter word. Thanks to globalization many good things has also entered this country besides the accompanying garbage. Keep in mind even in these countries from where these words have been borrowed, they are seldomly used by the educated diaspora. It is more in the domain of the juvenile delinquents.

Hold on, man! Seems you got all the power you (and your family) were looking for. It’s a beautiful word. Don’t spoil it by using it repeatedly.

I think you missed the highlighted part of my post. Vehicles have become an integrated part of our daily lives without which good living will become almost impossible in today’s world. Firecrackers do not belong to the same category. But only intelligent people can understand my message, not crackpots like you.
Sorry, but that is not a very good argument. 90% of the travel we do is useless and only for unnecessary show-off and ego-boosting and totally avoidable. Luxury cars are useless. The electricity consumed by shopping malls etc. is useless. Huge television sets, cricket matches on floodlights, movie theaters etc. are useless and serve only as entertainment and are again totally avoidable. I don’t see people protesting against these. Were people never happy before movie theaters came up?
And why do you think fire crackers do not enable good living? Fire crackers make tons of kids happy. Lots of kids wait throughout the year for the fun of diwali. The indirect pollution caused by shopping malls etc. and the direct pollution caused by luxury vehicles, etc. 24/7 throughout the year is greater by several orders of magnitude than the pollution caused a couple of days in an year by bursting fire crackers.
The media simply magnifies the issue and we fall prey to it. I’m not saying that there is no harm caused by firecrackers at all. But if you protest against firecrackers then you should do the same against shopping malls and luxury cars too. Surely, it is not wrong to expect a little balance and fairness in your critique, is it?
So take up the anti-pollution, anti-luxury cars initiative na. Why say if one evil exists the other is justifiable. Corruption exist karta hai to rape ko justify nahi kr sakte hai boss.
You simply don’t get it. It is not about me or you taking up any initiative. It is the larger issue. It is about the generally prevailing discourse we see all around us. When was the last time you saw a news article denouncing BMW for making luxury cars? On the other hand, they are celebrated and applauded. When was the last time you saw a post on a forum preaching about how shopping malls are harmful? When was the last time you saw a cricket match and the sheer wastage of electricity crossed your mind? The issue is the hypocrisy. If only you were more honest to yourself you would see it. Why does the population in general think about pollution only during diwali? How many news articles do you see denouncing the wastage of electricity caused by elaborate christmas decorations? Do you know how much water is wasted during the creation of wine? Have you hear read about it anywhere in the mainstream media?

Wait a minute! You have conveniently assumed that we are not against that. You are just confusing the mainstream media with the discussion going on here. Take a deep breath and go through the thread once again. You will know what I mean. Since I am the one who started it here, please take some time and go through my posts on DD (well, it would take a lot of time actually since I have had 4 IDs so far) to appreciate this discussion in its context. In short, I’ve always been against anything in excess. Hope things are a bit clear now.

OMG! When will you guys try to understand things in their context? Do you think I’m supporting all that. I’m tired of typing the same thing again and again. Please read @raven_kira ’s post above for a good summary. Bye.
Oh, come on! You clearly said vehicles are not a problem while crackers are. I say vehicular pollution is a much much bigger problem than diwali. You should probably re-read your own post.
And calling anyone that agrees with you “intelligent” and everyone else a moron is pretty childish. Surely, we can be a little more mature that that, can we not?
Did you learn the word “FUCK” recently?
It’s like I’m watching ‘Wolf of Wall Street’ or ‘AIB Roast’, where each and every line contains the word.
Unnecessary!
So Go, Fuck yourself.

I was talking about vehicles which are “essential” for our daily lives, not about BMWs. Can we just stop jumping to conclusions and see what is right in front us?

I don’t see BMWs in my post either. What more do you want even after I have explained what I meant by “vehicles”?

It is very much about you and me. Look at us… we are contributing to this anti-crackers cause by putting this issue up for discussion in this forum. Similarly we’ll educate our family and relatives and everyone we come across. Hence we contribute to the cause, thereby achieving some change no matter how minor it is. Now if you find something not right, you have every power in the world to preach to your acquaintances about the issue, discuss it with friends and do something to bring about some change. No mountains were ever moved by sitting in one’s seat comfily and complaining that no one cares about an issue that pains him/her. Screw the general opinion, general discourse and all that crap. Be the person to bring about the change. Your idea that there are more pressing matters to deal with doesn’t mean we should stop preaching about things that bother us. You are free to join us and be a part of this change and when its ur turn to take charge we join your bandwagon… Thats how its done.. Thats how change happens.
