Yes app supports all ebooks,…I have been using it for quite sometime.
However Kindle has other benefits like reading comfort among others. Check out the benefits on net.

Don’t ever compare your android phone with kindle. Its nice. I own a paperwhite. Its like, you have the phone which displays the time, but why do you buy a watch?
It’s pleasant to the eyes. And you get some free books while you purchase the kindle.
Things people over here refrain to buy are :
1) Fitness wearables- Like misfit, shine, fitbit, etc.
2) Ebook readers – - kindle
3) Buying apps from playstore- My personal experience. I gifted a Google play gift card to my friend on her birthday. She wasn’t quite excited and gave me a odd look. On the other hand, other guy gave her a Amazon gift card.. He got a hug.. Sad me

1) Is the Amazon Email Gift card same as Amazon Email Kindle Gift card? I mean are there different gift cards for Kindle and buying products on Amazon India? To put it simply – Should I buy the normal Amazon India E-Gift Cards to get these Kindle promo codes for buying books?
2) I will be buying a mobile phone tomorrow. So if buy the Amazon E-Gift cards in 20 denominations of Rs.500 (total value of Rs.10000) will I get 20 Rs.250 off kindle e-book promo codes?
I buy a lot of books on Kindle. So this might be a great deal for me actually.

You need to purchase Amazon Kindle Email Gift Card to get the proocode. Read the T&C….you will hopefully understand.
