bro, it reaches the limit when all transmitters are on. yeah probably many other phones do too and they don’t report it but imo as lenovo is Chinese , one can’t really trust their disclosures. just because they said 1.590 it makes me suspicious that it might actually be higher and they might have bribed their way to disclose it below the threshold. anyway one can’t be really sure. so probably its best to avoid.

Well, SAR value for K3 note is on higher side, but there are many angles to see it:

1. There is no specific data about how it affects human body (causing cancer etc, for that matter even its not yet been proved/unproved whether radio waves, Cellphone towers are actually dangerous).
2. Even if its on higher side, its within the prescribed limit and it sells in US, the country which has the most stringent parameters, and I can say most countries (including India) either accepts these as the guidelines or even if they have their own standards, they just copy from US standards.
3. The huges popular Iphone 6 has almost same SAR value , but no one complains.
4. SAR value, is like how you publicize, it has two values, one at Head (of phone where the antenna exists), and other at body, secondly the maximum value at head of phone is when all its Transmitter works simultaneously, i.e Voice, wifi, and bluetooth. its highly unlikely that all three would be used together.
The SAR value for only Voice calls (different for 2G and 3G networks as frequency is different, higher for 2g)
Some mobile companies might be publishing only SAR value of voice calls.
5. If SAR value has some effect on body, then all phone would have been affecting us, some might be slower some faster, but they must be affecting. and if they do not affect as long as they are within limit then , its well within the limit. Bytheway, Limits are always set a little higher above the actual safety level.

Disclaimer: Am not a flipkart or Lenovo agent. Nor I am advising you to go and buy k3, take your own decision. This much is sure science has not yet found an answer if radio waves/Raditions emanating from Cellphone or its tower has ill effect on human body.

Even I have been comparing pros and cons of these phones and reading comparisions on some blogs. like NDTVGadgets etc,
my personal inclination towards ASUS was because of its looks, where it scores much higher over K3 (I have seen just the image of ASUS, K 3 i have seen) , but Spec wise K3 outright winner. Octacore is a major plus, . Quad core is past.

Main USP of ASUS laser is its Laser focus camera, surprisingly I found many buyers( at flipkart saying Camera is not so good)

As per my exp, Sony is the Best for Camera, Nokia is Best for Battery, Samsung Best for display,

What i was thinking . Damn . after some searching now i think its way over other phones.

Don’t blame any one .. just be cautious while buying because Apple, Micromax, Samsung, Xiaomi etc all are Made In China

bro, mobile radiation has many dangerous effects on the human body. what science has been unable to say so far is whether it causes cancer or not. in a way these effects are far worse than cancer. with memory problems, loss of appetite, and for us guys( low sperm count) etc.

yeah because it sells in US probably its not beyond 1.6. but my point is there are many phones with far less SAR. ofcourse the problem is how many manufacturers report the full numbers( with all transmitters on). anyway my advice for anyone wishing to buy a new phone should look at SAR and decide for themselves rather than totally ignoring it.

Then why doesn’t lenovo use the same method to quote SAR values for all lenovo mobiles? Or does it report the FULL sar value with all transmitters ON for all devices?

SAR value is always mentioned as MAX which means with all transmitters ON. So, anyways the highest SAR value is still higher than most devices and hence a consideration to be made before buying.

I bought K3 note first..after going through lots of videos and reviews… but after using for 15 days ..sold on quikr and bought Honor 4x as that was next in my list ..
On papers and benchmarks, no doubt K3 note outscores Honor 4X .. but in real day to day use..very very happy with honor 4×.. camera, battery, ram all excellent

Note : Less internal memory a problem , hence a class 10 micro sd a must buy with it
