Are these reliable ? Reviews are mixed about accuracy of readings .
Congrats for 100 FPD….

I have one of these. Totally inaccurate readings most of the time.
Only will give you a very ballpark figure and might help you to decide whether you need to go to the hospital or not.

Read the instructions carefully…. most importantly how to tie the cuff correctly.

now since governments have started favouring businesses and all environmental activists too, most GPs use these type only.
if Omron honours the invoice and the invoice shows correct details of VAT and distributor or dealer, then consider.
Omron products arefairly good and have local support too
*governments meaning even previous government.

I have used many omron models but don’t remember what models. (In hospitals and at relatives’ house)
I myself own a manual BP apparatus (the one that has mercury).
These automatic BP monitors (upper arm ones) are fairly accurate if you tie the cuff properly.
Wrist BP monitors don’t have good accuracy though.

Omron 7201 is a far better ( and expensive ) solution. Its clinically validated as well. But it does nt seem to be available in Paytm. Omron products are way better than that of any other brand but still the Hg based ones remain the gold standard. But the automated ones still have their place as they dont require clinical skills to operate.
