Many people don’t realize that Mircormax, even though is an Indian company, doesn’t manufacture their phones. They purchase local chinese phones, re-brand and sell them in India with their name. So when you buy a Micromax, Xolo, Karbonn and such you’re essentially buying a local chinese phone. (e.g. http://www.gizchina.com/2014/09/10/rebranded-ch…) Such phones with orchestra of popular hardware components have always been in the market, they just got teeth and international market because of Google’s android. They have little respect for the patent infringements because tech giants never considered them a threat. You never know when any of these new brands might shut down for good.

For such reasons, I have resisted temptation of going for the “hype” phones (read: Xiaomi, Oppo, Yureka). Each has their own advantage in terms of user-experience and processing power, but do the same things at the end of the day(It’s just a damn phone, I don’t know why people expect it to have the power to launch a space rocket and end up playing Candy Crush indefinitely). So yes, I am the doofus who pays an extra 5k-20k for a Nokia, Samsung, Apple. It gives me and many others like me some peace of mind (and not to mention, much much better customer support) and a good brand label on my phone.

No doubt yureka is very good for its price ! but you have to understand that just having a Octacore 615 processor from Snapdragon does not make it better than Snapdragon premium 801 (Refer to Snapdragon blogs itself ! ) Snapdragon 615 is meant for midranger phones ! And the difference between Adreno 430 and Adreno 405 is huge ! Anyways we can spend the whole day discussing that .
Also i guess hardly anyone has bought a device taking in consideration that it has backing from Micromax . And micromax is indian for namesake ….. They simply import while label phones from china like any other vendor and rebrand them .

I too consider yureka to be extremely well priced device but the point is can micromax overcome its history of delivering terrible products . Software would be take care by Cyanogenmod but hardware is what i am skeptical ! Well i too hope MMX finally delivers a excellent budget phone !! Afterall more the competition better it is for consumers .
