any one know , what is the SAR value for these mobiles???
This thing has literally killed any competition in the sub 20K category, single handedly
Not even lenovo can compete at this price, the only thing cheaper & (potentially) better VFM will be the Redmi 3

Jaise apne yaha ecom me paisa laga rahe hain vaise hi China me Xioami pe, atm it’s the most valued startup in the world
This should have the new(er) QC 3.0
Absolute beast with the large battery as well, too bad it’s still on 28nm though

this doesnt even have QC 2.0
It takes 3 hours to charge note 3 from 0 to 100%
Soon K4 Note would be available with a price cut

It’s Snapdragon 650 & thus should have support for QC 3.0 but of course that needs to be enabled via firmware first
That’s a tempting price. I was expecting the 32GB/3GB model to be priced around 14-15k. Xiaomi has got the pricing part right.
I have to admit that i’m considering replacing my Mi3 with Redmi note 3. Even though my mi3 is almost 2 years now but the performance is still excellent. Someone please convince me to upgrade

Give me that Mi3 free of cost & then you can buy this with absolute peace (or piece?) of mind
p.s. kudos for le1s as they forced this price on Xiaomi

its has quick charging 2.0 . The version wasnt mentioned but even on the live stream they mentioned quick charging in the slides.
it charges 50% in 1 hour hugo barra stated
Thanks for a nice valuable advice

if u want to upgrade really then this is the time . Or keep it around another year till the next set of processors actually hit the market . Mediatek may launch new chipsets in between but again i dont like mtk but some others may differ

Quick charge 2.0 is either 9V/2A, 12V/1.5A
But according to the charging adapter that’s bundled with the box it is only 5V/2A which is only normal charger

Thanks.
Performance wise, i believe note 3 would only have slight advantage compared to mi3. Factors going in favor of note 3 are : dual sim 4g, 32 GB flash, fingerprint sensor.
BTW, i have registered for note 3 sale. Hopefully will order one phone to see how it turns out. Off late, wife has been bugging me saying that her phone( redmi 1s) is becoming old & slow. I might as well gift note 3 to her.

So what, the 650 supports QC 3.0 & that’s a fact, whatever Xiaomi (or Qualcomm) is upto only they can answer

Btw was it explicitly mentioned that QC 2.0 is enabled or no version number was given

Q5: What is the difference between Class A and Class B accessories?
A: The difference is the maximum voltage. Both Class A and Class B adapters are rated at 5, 9 and 12 volts. Class B adapters go one step further, up to 20 volts. Class B adapters are large enough to charge devices that need more power, such as a notebook computers. Remember, Quick Charge is engineered to deliver only the power needed for the device it’s charging, so a Class B adapter can be used for a smartphone or laptop.

Not next year 3~6 months at most, 14nm (based chips for mobile) was launched by Sammy almost a year ago but the cost of production has only come down very recently. If you’re talking about uarch then we’ll have to wait for ARM till they launch something newer/better than the A72.

As @$hubham has pointed out in his previous replies, its up to OEM’s to enable fast charging or not
Even LG G Flex 2 has no quick charging 2.0 even though it has Snapdragon 810 chip.
If Xiaomi isnt explicitly mentioning about quick charge 2.0, then it is quick charge 1.0
And usually for a 4000mah battery, a quick charge 2.0 enabled device will get charged in and around 2 hours
I am just putting adapter as a reference.

No version no was given but i have seen maybe on some banner explicity mentioning 2.0
I was wondering how Snapdragon 650 stacks up against the old Snapdragon 800/801 in terms of raw performance?
@PaytmKaPoojari wrote:

Don’t think so, no QC 2.0 on slides here either

Check this comparison video by qualcomm, this should clear all the doubts
