buying gold coins & low weight upto 20g may attract making charges upto 3%

Never buy at bank as they sell at 15-20% extra price just for a packing.

I usually buy 100g gold bar at local shops in busy central markets (ex raja market, chickpet, bengaluru). They give at base rate without any tax or bills. 999 purity gold bar from any swiss bank / european bank or recognized refinery.

Here is my opinion,

NEVER Buy Ornaments, Chains for Investment as they may attract huge making charges n other charges.

Gold Biscuits are the purest form of Gold, You can go for it, but they might be very costly.

Just wait for some good deals for Gold Coins on desidime.
You can purchase any of the gold coin with 995 or 999 purity ( Note that actual cost difference between 995 and 999 is just around Rs 30 per gram )

Better to go for 5 gm gold coin or above ( ie. 10gms, 20 gms )

Dont go for 1gm or 2 gms !
